1st!
LOL
… @ the design of the album cover
*crickets*
Very sore on the eye.
OK
After being a hustler who happens to rap it appears jigga wants to be an artist hehehe
I like it but I don’t have much hope after seeing the tracklisting and kanye all over the production. However I remember Common’s album “Be”
Who knows it might be ok
@ Karl Nova:
I was going to remind you of the superb production on “Be”, “Graduation” and “Finding Forever”, but you already corrected yourself…
LOL
I think this album will be Jay’s best yet, @ least from a production perspective. He has a really good ear for picking great tracks, and Kanye (like him or not) is a phenomenal producer; one of the best of our generation.
Cover is very Kanye-esque to me. Suppose the album will be too.
However whatever the weather from my perspective it’s so far so good.
@Sundance: Well judging from the songs I’ve heard so far, it’s nothing like Blueprint 1 or Be. What made those albums great was the soulful sounds. I think it’s gonna be a good album all the same. Also Common actually has something to say but Jay Z says the same thing over and over again. I hope he goes deeper.
Also not seeing Just Blaze on production is kinda sad because on the original blueprint he produced “U don’t know” “Song Cry” “Lyrical exercise” and “girls girls girls” He’s given Jay Z some of the best beats ever like P.S.A etc etc
@ Nova:
Agreed. Blaze is another one of those producers that you’re practically guaranteed a hit w/.
AND he’s from New Jersey~!
LOL
PS: “Song Cry” = best Jigga song EVER
PPS: “Moleskine” = best Jay Electronica joint ever so far…both songs by none other than Just Blaze
