Queen Latifah (real name Dana Owens) has revealed that she was a victim of sexual abuse as a child.
Owens confessed that a male babysitter took advantage of her when she was young.
“He violated me. I never told anybody. I just buried it as deeply as I could and kept people at an arm’s length,” she told Essence.
The star also admitted that her troubled past has caused problems in her relationships as a result.
“I never really let a person get too close to me. I could have been married years ago, but I had a commitment issue,” she added.

I don’t know about that Janice, them rumours are quiet strong lol, I’m kidding, … but I hope she gets past that stuff buried within, sometimes these issues can be like a ticking time bomb inside some people,

Do sexually abused victims really ever heal? I wonder alot about this. May be they just learn to live with it and try to be as normal as possible in other areas of their lives. She’s still living, i guess that’s good.
This is a serious issue many abused children NEVER heal it is a violation of the spirit and soul of a human
