Via Digital Spy Dizzee Rascal’s new single ‘Bonkers’ is expected to become the best-selling single of the year so far. The track, which is a collaboration with dance DJ Armand Van Helden, shifted 46,000 units on its first day of release. With continuing high sales, the song will easily overtake first week sales of previous number ones. Yesterday I posted the news that Steven Spielberg had signed on to co-produce a Martin Luther King biopic, and that King’s estate had for the first time allowed producers to use his copyrighted intellectual property (his speeches, books etc). The Sun reports today that rapper/singer Estelle ‘came within moments of being involved in a terrifying shoot-out’, which left rapper Dolla (real name Roderick Anthony Burton II dead. Estelle had apparently been at the mall where Burton was fatally shot on the 18th May just moments before and assured her friends and family via Twitter that she was safe.
