I remember watching the 2003 ‘VH1 Divas’, and shaking my head in disbelief.
Whitney Houston performed with her now ex-husband Bobby Brown and sounded absolutely atrocious.
Here was proof that her once beautiful/powerful voice had been shot to pieces thanks to excessive drug and alcohol abuse.
But I was in denial. I refused to believe that Whitney had lost it.
I kept saying, ‘no that isn’t Whitney Houston. That isn’t the woman I grew up listening to and admiring. That woman up there on that stage is a bloody imposter!!!!!
If only that were true……
Sadly I don’t think that Whitney will ever be able to go back to sounding like this again….
