UK rapper Sway teams up with Akon on his new single ‘Silver & Gold’, which is about a cold, manipulative, money hungry stripper.
I admit ‘Silver & Gold is (kind of) catchy (well the hook is) but it’s strange hearing Sway rap on a track of this nature, and watching him attempt to look suave and sexy in the middle of a nightclub surrounded by attractive women.
It’s just strange… it’s just not really him….
This sort of visual scenerio, along with the track’s lyrical content tends to work better when a rapper has an element of sex appeal AND an American accent 🙂
Anyway for those who don’t know Sway recently signed to Akon’s label Konvict Records.

ok the beat is catchy and the lyrics are whack but it’s not that bad! both men are fugly and the British accent on the hook is kinda funny.

Ennnnnit FR, I was well disapointed. Sway is so much bigger better than this.
They had an opportunity to bring something special to the table with a fresh UK/USA mix, but instead they chose this lazy ass rubbish.
Sway even looks bored !!! If we are still talking about his in 2009 i will be very surprised.
but isnt the artist ultimately responsible for what they allow themselves to be seen doing…
