Jay-Z is finding the credit crunch is hamperiing his London party plans.
The hip-hop superstar has found no club willing to stump up his appearance fee.
Representatives for the star, in town to watch his NBA team, the New Jersey Nets, take on Miami Heat at The O2 on Sunday night, initially asked for £25,000 for him to host a party.
Even though that figure has now gone down to £7,500, no clubs are interested.
A club source told theBuzz: “No club is willing to stump up the cash.
At this rate he might even have to party for free.”
I would have offered him £1,000 to host the party. “Take it or leave it Jay!” If he refused then I would just call in some low level UK act to host it. I figure they would be grateful for the gig.
But seriously times are hard folks. Club owners no longer have the money to waste on over pampered stars of the US variety, whose idea of hosting a club event in London is turning up after midnight (briefly showing club patrons their mugs), sitting in the VIP area for an hour surrounded by members of their over fed entourages, and then leaving.
No sorry those days have long gone!

How come these celebs, get paid to go to the club for a 2s appearance? While y’all broke ass people (y’all, because I don’t go to the clubs – I don’t get the point) pay?
