PRODUCER STATIC MAJOR PASSES AWAY
It’s been reported that producer Static Major (real name Stephen Garrett) died yesterday in Louisville, Kentucky. At the start of his musical career Static was a member of Swing Mob (Jodeci star Devante’s creation) and formed close ties with former members, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Ginuwine. Static’s most successful work was for Aaliyah, whose single “Try Again” was a worldwide smash.
