Rio Ferdinand

Fined 45k over a tweet he just replied to….

Via The Telegraph

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been fined £45,000 after being   found guilty of improper conduct over comments he made relating to the John Terry racism trial on Twitter.

Ferdinand appeared to endorse a Tweet by another user of the social networking   site which described Chelsea   defender Ashley Cole, who gave evidence on behalf of Terry in the trial, as  a “choc ice”, a term understood to mean someone who is black on the outside   but white on the inside.

Terry was found not guilty last month of racially abusing Ferdinand’s brother   Anton during a Premier League game between Chelsea and QPR on Oct 23 last   year, although he is also now contesting a Football Association charge over   the same incident.

The FA said in a statement today: “Manchester   United‘s Rio Ferdinand has been fined £45,000 after an independent   regulatory commission found proven a charge of improper conduct in relation   to a comment posted on Twitter.

“The commission decided that the comment was improper and brought the game  into disrepute. In addition, the commission found that the breach included a   reference to ethnic origin, colour or race.” Continue Reading….

This is BULLS**T.

The Football Association deserves to burn.

The FA (Football Association) has decided to charge footballer Rio Ferdinand for acknowledging a tweet from a Twitter follower earlier this month which described fellow player Ashley Cole as a “choc-ice”.

Cole was called a “sell out” and a “choc ice” after defending low life team-mate and “good friend” John Terry during his racism trial. Terry had been accused of racially abusing QPR player Anton Ferdinand (Rio’s brother) during a game in October 2011. He admitted to calling Ferdinand a “f**king black c**t” but was later cleared of any wrong doing by a judge.

Yesterday those fools over at FA headquarters issued the following statement:

“The FA has today charged Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand with improper conduct in relation to comments posted on Twitter. The allegation is that the player acted in a way which was improper and/or bought the game into disrepute by making comments which included a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race”.

Before the decision was announced Ferdinand tweeted:

I am just stunned right now. This is RIDICULOUS. The FA accuses Ferdinand of bringing the game in to disrepute? He didn’t even call Shoe Shine boy a “choc ice” . But when John Terry called a man a “f**king black c**t” during a televised football match those punks over at FA headquarters did nothing. They just hoped it would disappear.

However on Friday the FA announced that they had charged John Terry for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand. But they made this announcement when everyone was focused on the official opening of the Olympics so it conveniently slipped under the radar.  I believe that Terry will be cleared again.

John Terry, Ashley Cole and FA bigwigs all deserve to be thrown in to a gully.

Ashley Cole appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday to defend his “good friend” John Terry

Since giving evidence in defence of his team mate and “good friend” John Terry at his racism trial last week (click here if you missed it) where Terry admitted to calling QPR player Anton Ferdinand a “f*cking black c*nt” during a match on October 2011, footballer Ashley Cole has been called every name under the sun including a “sell out” and a “choc ice”.

John Terry and Anton Ferdinand during match in October 2011 where the incident took place.

But Shoe Shine Cole has received a lot of support from the mainstream media who up until his appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court last week hated his guts.  They even went as far as to accuse Ferdinand’s brother Rio of racism after a Twitter user TWEETED HIM saying “It looks like Ashley Cole is going to be their choc ice. Then again he’s always been a sell-out. Shame on him.” Rio replied “I hear ya fella. Choc ice is a classic. Hahahahaha”.

The Metropolitan Police received a sea of complaints via their Twitter account and the user who sent the tweet is now under investigation.

Like I said in a previous post you couldn’t make this foolishness up.

Rio Ferdinand

Anyway in regards to Cole’s actions there has been some backlash from the black community which has now led to the labelling of the controversial cartoon below ‘Ashley Cole vs Rio Ferdinand – The House Negro And The Field Negro’.

[Thanks La]

Some might argue that Rio was once in the house with Ashley but has now been banished to the field….

In an interview with CNN FIFA President Sebb Blatter was asked if racism exists in football and he replied,

‘I would deny it. There is no racism, there is maybe one of the players towards another, he has a word or a gesture which is not the correct one, but also the one who is affected by that, he should say that this is a game. ‘We are in a game, and at the end of the game, we shake hands, and this can happen. On the field of play sometimes you say something that is not very correct, but then at the end of the game you have the next game where you can behave better.’

As you can imagine his ridiculous comments have caused OUTRAGE and has even forced premiership/England player Rio Ferdinand to speak out via Twitter.

Loads of people have commended Rio for speaking out publicly (myself included). When has a black/mixed race premiership footballer EVER spoken out so publicly about racism or confronted a major figure in the game on it? I will tell you when – NEVER! I was impressed and also in shock.

Then I remembered that old Sebb Blatter here is a hate figure within the realms of English football since England failed in its bid to host the World Cup and lost out to Russia and Qatar. Since then Blatter has been accused of corruption and there have been calls for his resignation.

Rio won’t face any backlash from his comments (I am sure he knows this which could explain why he decided to speak out on this occasion) because everyone within the FA (Football Association) the fans and media hate old fool Blatter and pray for his downfall.

It is therefore safe to confront Sebb.

Other high profile figures in football including QPR owner Tony Fernandes and  England manager Fabio Cappello have also gone on record to say that racism doesn’t exist in football amongst other things (2 weeks ago), but Rio didn’t say anything then.

When the press released pictures, obviously staged, of John Terry who is currently under investigation for “allegedly” racially abusing his brother Anton Ferdinand, laughing, joking and dancing with black players he didn’t say anything then.

But hey perhaps I am being far too cynical and looking too deeply in to this situation.

Anyway, it is still good to see a high profile player speaking out for a change, and not one who has decided to speak out years later after retirement.

Rio and his wife Rebecca

The only people to benefit from this mess are Rio’s lawyers.

Via The Daily Mail

Married England footballer Rio Ferdinand’s attempts to suppress details of a long-term affair were crushed in the High Court yesterday – leaving him with a £500,000 bill.

In a landmark victory for press freedom, a judge ruled that banning publication would not be in the public
interest. Mr Justice Nicol said that Ferdinand, a former England captain, had a duty  to maintain high standards ‘on and off the field’. Continue Reading….

Rio's mistress Carly Storey

The mistress is one fine looking woman..

I saw Rio on television last night and just shook my head. What a fool and what a waste of time and money fighting this  case. Your wife hasn’t left you (those footballer wives never leave), you still play for Manchester United and earn an astronomical amount of money for kicking a ball around, so just move on.

Stalker Susanne Ibru

Susanne Ibru who stalked Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand and his family has been jailed for 10 weeks and put on a restraining order for 10 years.

Via Mirror Football

Susanne Ibru, 38, appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court after being convicted of harassment of the Manchester United and England star last month.

The defendant was living in Peckham, south London, when she made three 400-mile round trips to Ferdinand’s home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on February 21 last year, then again on June 16 and 18, her trial heard.

The 32-year-old footballer told the court that Ibru left him fearing for his family’s safety by turning up at his home and demanding to speak to him.

Sentencing Ibru, District Judge Nicholas Sanders said he was “concerned” by the defendant’s behaviour since she had been in custody.

He said: “The pre-sentence report describes you as living in a fantasy world, unable to interpret social situations and boundaries. You display a predatory and manipulative lifestyle and try to deliberately mislead interviewers.”

On hearing the sentence, Ibru said: “I will be appealing against that.” As she was led to the cells, she added: “I stick two fingers up at you.” Continue Reading….

This is just sad. Susanne clearly has psycological issues. I hope she receives some form of help soon.

Rio Ferdinand

Poor Rio… being stalked by a black woman must have really messed with his head. You know how these footballers try to distance themselves from the sisters :) but this one just wouldn’t leave him alone. It must have been an absolutely terrifying experience for Rio.

Rio with wife Rebecca

And as as for you Susanne. You have just upset my spirit today. Have some pride, have some respect for yourself and get a blasted grip!

Victim: Rio McFarlane

The Metropolitan Police in conjunction with The Sun Newspaper have released a murder appeal video featuring footballer Rio Ferdinand.

The Sun newspaper are also offering a £10,000 reward in addition to the reward of up to £20,000 being offered by the Met police for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the murder of Rio McFarlane.

Rio McFarlane, 18, was murdered on Monday 6 September 2010 in Dragon Road, SE15. At approx 21.30hrs nearby police officers heard a gunshot fired and diverted to investigate. On arrival they found Rio McFarlane, aged 18, suffering a gunshot wound. The ambulance service attended but Rio died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Like his namesake, Rio McFarlane was a promising young footballer from Peckham. He had no involvement in crime and police believe his murder may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Rio Ferdinand said: “I grew up in Peckham with Rio’s brother Anthony and have known the McFarlane family for many years, so I wanted to do something to help them get justice for Rio’s murder.

“I believe that the community can make a difference but it’s important for people to come forward and talk to police.”

“An innocent young mans life has been taken and the community can not allow this to happen again. My family and I ask you to please speak out and do what’s right.”

Detective Superintendent Gary Richardson from Trident said: “There are people out there who clearly know who committed this murder. Rio McFarlane was a decent young man and his life was cruelly taken away from him. Trident want people to come forward and talk. Share this YouTube clip with your friends and put it on your face book pages.

“We also want to make it clear there are special measures that we can take to protect your identity and have used these measures in many successful cases.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8247 4553; if you wish to remain anonymous please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

I hope this helps to find the murderous scum bags.

Rest In Peace Rio McFarlane.

Rio Ferdinand leaves hospital on crutches.

Via BBC News

England captain Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a knee injury in training.

The 31-year-old centre-back had a scan after hurting his left knee following a challenge with Emile Heskey during Friday’s first training session.

He emerged from hospital on crutches and Tottenham’s Michael Dawson, who had been put on standby, is expected to fly to South Africa in the next 12 hours. Continue Reading…..

Earlier on today my colleague said that a member from the England squad would suffer an injury during a training session, and she was spot on!

What a pathetic start.

England doesn’t stand a chance. Real talk!

I want to believe in them, that they can win, but I can’t.

Even their manager Capello seems disappointed with them. Did anyone catch the look on his face after the “friendly” match against Japan?

All I see when I look at the England squad (apart from Wayne Rooney) is a bunch of over paid, pampered individuals, who have no energy, lack passion and don’t actually look as if they even care about the tournament.

I therefore predict a series of lacklustre performances during the group matches (up against less experienced teams). England will still manage to scrape through, but will then go on to lose narrowly to serious opposition in the semi/quarter finals (a penalty shoot out will be the decider).

Everyone will then go on to pretend that England came close to winning, even though their overall performance was beyond dire.
