An Australian woman, named Olivia hosted an ‘African themed’ birthday party and then decided to share the photographs on her Facebook page.
Olivia’s Facebook page was exposed by Tumblr user BlackinAsia who wrote:
Blackface, elephant and gorilla costumes, warpaint, Native American headdresses (?!) and more …. I’m at a loss for words,”
In an attempt to defend herself Olivia said:
“It was my ‘African themed’ party and it was honestly made that theme because I have always wanted to go to Africa (to teach English) but haven’t made it there yet. In no way was this party intended to hurt anyone’s feelings or upset anyone at all.
“However, some guest (sic) did decide to paint themselves, although this was in no way my intention or encouraged in the slightest. I understand that this has offended some people and I have no idea how these photos have even been seen, they were simply put on Facebook for my guests to see the photos of themselves.
“I am 100% sure that parties would be held that would be ‘Australian themed’ or American themed or even countries of the world, and in that instance I don’t believe anyone would be offended. People wear Oktoberfest costumes to parties and no one cracks it that they are not German? So what I am saying is I do understand the people who have painted themselves have offended people, although none of them intended that …. but how can people be annoyed that the majority of the people at the party were celebrating another countries culture.”

Oh dear, oh dear Olivia. TUT TUT.
For a start this happened in Australia. Anyone who knows about race relations in that part of the world and the continuous mistreatment of the Aborigines should not be surprised by any of this.
The ‘war paint’ gorilla costumes, black boot polish and the fact that one of her guest’s decided to wear a Klu Klux Klan costume (did a noose come with the costume?) to this mess of a ‘African themed’ party tells me all I need to know about Olivia and her cronies.
Even Donald Duck hates us. Us black folk just can’t seem to catch a break!

Former England captain John Terry has announced his retirement from international football after playing 78 times in nine years for his country.
Terry, 31, says the decision is in response to the Football Association’s disciplinary charge over his alleged comments to Anton Ferdinand.
The Chelsea defender was cleared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in July of racially abusing Ferdinand.
He said his FA personal hearing on Monday makes his position “untenable”.
“I feel the FA, in pursuing charges against me where I have already been cleared in a court of law, have made my position with the national team untenable,” he said in a statement. Continue Reading….
Oh what a shame *sarcasm*
“I feel the FA, in pursuing charges against me where I have already been cleared in a court of law, have made my position with the national team untenable,”
Erm John you made your position “untenable” when you called Anton Ferdinand a “f**king black c**t”.
Now all this nasty piece of work needs to do next is retire from club football and then crawl under a rock and take Ashley ‘shoe shine’ Cole with him.
When asked why he thought the United Kingdom’s song entries kept on flopping at the annual Eurovision Song Contest songwriter and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber said,
”I don’t think there’s any point beating around the bush. ‘I’ll put it to you by asking you a question. ‘Did you see the Eurovision Song Contest this year?
”If you had seen it, you might have noticed one thing – I don’t think there was one black face on the programme.”
”At the press conference in Moscow (in 2009), I was asked, ‘Why have you brought a black artist?’ (singer Jade Ewen came fifth))’I said, ‘Because she is the most talented artist that we had and I think she’s a major, major star.’ I think we would have come second but there’s a problem when you go further east…”
When asked if he believed our entries keep on flopping because of racism he replied,
”Well, it doesn’t mean that we would necessarily have won that year but we could have come second.
”If you’re talking about Western Europe – Germany, fine; France, fine; Spain, fine; Greece, fine; Scandinavian countries, fine. But Ukraine? Not so good.”
Well all know about the jolly old Ukraine. But regardless the Eurovision Song Contest is just one big hilarious cheesefest. I am not losing any sleep over the lack of black artists featured at that event.
“JOKE” OF THE DAY: COMEDIAN CHELSEA HANDLER GOING ON AFRICAN SAFARI “TO SEE WHERE ALL RAPPERS COME FROM”
“I’m going on an African safari simply because I want to see where all rappers come from”.
I tuned in to popular E! talk show Chelsea Lately last night and the show’s host the popular Chelsea Handler opened with the “joke” above.
So what are you saying Chelsea? Black rappers all started life running around a wildlife park in Botswana before they crossed the ‘middle passage’ to the Americas?
Chelsea who dated rapper Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent for a brief spell before it ended badly (READ HERE) is known for making controversial and non-PC jokes. I know that many believe that when it comes to comedy there should be no boundaries, but I think sometimes Chelsea goes too far in a bid to get laughs and believes she can get away with saying anything now that she is considered a powerful figure in the world of entertainment.
The constant sly “jokes” about black people not being able to swim is just annoying. For those of you who don’t know there used to be this old racist belief that black people couldn’t swim because apparently our ‘bones were too heavy’. So I am guessing that this is what Chelsea is referring too whenever she “jokingly” mentions black people and water in the same breath.
Then you have the constant “jokes” about black men and the size of their genitalia quickly followed by “I’ve dated black men”.
I have read several of Chelsea’s books which are funny. She talks about her childhood and life with her odd ball father who was and still is by the sounds of it a RACIST.
I often wonder if her father’s racist views rubbed off on her and she uses comedy to mask it.
Oh dear.. looks like it’s all kicking off over in Summer Bay.

Home and Away actor Jay Laga’aia has accused the show of racism in an angry Twitter rant, saying he was dropped because the series already had a character of ethnic background.
Laga’aia, an actor of Samoan descent who played the Rev Elijah Johnson, backed calls for commercial television to end its “white Australia” policy.
“As someone who lost his job on H&A because they couldn’t write two ethnics that weren’t together, I’d like a chance to ply my trade,” he tweeted.
His attack followed criticisms by another high-profile Australian actor, Firass Dirani, who said television programs did not reflect the nation’s racial mix. She attacked a perceived “white Australia” policy, saying shows needed to cast “different flavours, different cultures”. Continue Reading….
Jay is probably right. The producers probably felt that having more than one ‘minority’ character in the show would probably be too much for the script writers to handle.
I remember years ago Home & Away featured an Aboriginal actor. I was shocked when I saw him appear on my screen.
Anyway Australia still has a long way to go when it comes to the issue of Race etc. I say no more.
NEW FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE VIDEO IGNITES RACE ROW /ONLINE PETITION SET UP CALLING FOR THE BAND TO APOLOGISE
Check the latest video from Florence and Machine ‘No Light , No Light, which is interesting. The video has apparently ignited a race row because of its imagery.
Florence is in a church along with a group of choir boys and I am guessing they represent all that is good and innocent in the world. Then up pops a man ( it looks like he has been rolled in tar), who practices Voodoo, chases after a terrified Florence, sticks pins in to a doll and dances/rolls around the floor of the church possessed. He represents Evil.
[Thanks Marvin Sparks]
In response to Florence’s fans who have jumped up to defend the star, website Racialicous had this to say,
All sorts of defenses and excuses are being pulled out of the hat to try and label this music video as anything other than what it is: racist. Glorifying the white female central character as representing goodness, all while vilifying the evil dark skinned heathen Other. The number of times this has been done in film date back to one of the very first blockbusters, D.W. Griffith’s Birth of a Nation, and continue on until today with this latest incarnation. But in this age of “colour-blindness” and “post-racial” talk, we confront a fairly new beast: vehement denial.

An online petition has also been set up calling for the band to apologise. Click HERE to view.
Your thoughts please. Do you think this video is racist or is it just “art”?
Oh dear Prime Minister… Oh dear…
Today David Cameron praised “the million people on Facebook who’ve signed up to support the police” during these difficult times in the UK and blog Wosland discovered who the creator behind this positive Facebook page is.
Ladies and gentlemen meet the incredibly IGNORANT and FOOLISH Sean Boscott

Since Wosland exposed Sean’s backside he has claimed that he wasn’t responsible for posting all those offensive tweets and says his account was hacked.
Really Sean really??? – Hahaha.
WHAT a LOSER!
Viewers complained to the BBC, I posted news about this incident several days ago and mainstream media outlets have finally picked up on the story.

Chris Evans has been accused of racism after telling a black scientist he could not see her in a dim BBC studio.
The presenter told Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, a highly respected space expert and government adviser: ‘I can barely see you, to be honest.’
The remark came after he mistakenly said she was Caribbean when she is of Nigerian descent. Continue Reading…..
I don’t know why Chris would just assume she was from the Caribbean and what did her nationality have to do with the topic being discussed????
