AMY WINEHOUSE REP SAYS THE STAR WAS NOT GOING TO ADOPT 10 YEAR OLD ST LUCIAN GIRL

Yesterday The Sunday Mirror reported that Amy Winehouse was in the process of adopting a 10 year-old St Lucian girl.
The singer met Dannika Augustine in 2009 during a trip to St Lucia and according to the girl’s grandmother Marjorie Lambert, Amy was in the process of adopting her granddaughter just before she died. Click HERE to read all about it.
After reading this story I came to the conclusion that Grandma Marjorie was talking a load of bulls**t for financial gain and it seems I was right.
A representative for the late star has denied her claims and told TMZ,
“I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her.”

According to The Sunday Mirror singer Amy Winehouse was in the process of ‘adopting’ a 10-year-old St Lucian girl before she died suddenly last Saturday.
The troubled singer had started the process of becoming a mum to 10-year-old Dannika Augustine, who she met on the idyllic Caribbean island.
Amy had booked her ticket to visit the schoolgirl next week. The child’s grandmother revealed the singer had already hired lawyers for the adoption, but her plans were cut short by her sudden death last week aged just 27.
Pretty Dannika was living in poverty with her single mum, who was struggling to feed her, when Amy took her under her wing during one of her many stays on the island over the last two years. Continue Reading….
I raised a skeptical eye brow when I came across this story today, while my mum shouted from the kitchen “money dem want”.
Hmmmm… extremely wealthy singer dies and suddenly everybody has a story to tell. Perhaps I am being too cynical here but it sounds like Grandma and other family members are just angling for a pay-day.

Singer Amy Winehouse attended the 2009 Q Awards last night (26th Oct), which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Waste Woman Winehouse also showed off her recently surgically enhanced breasts and was accompanied by her protégé/”god-daughter” 13 year old singer Dionne Bromfield.
I question the sanity of Dionne’s parents. They are just asking for trouble and a visit from Social Services (if they can be bothered).
I’m sorry but all I see is warning lights up ahead.

AMY WINEHOUSE’S FATHER GIVES EVIDENCE TO DRUG COMMITTEE

Amy Winehouse’s father was asked to give evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee, which is carrying out an investigation into the illegal cocaine trade.
Experts and those with first hand experience of the drug were asked to share their opinions with the committee. It is due to report its findings in December.
Mitch Winehouse was invited to speak as his daughter has a well documented history of drug addiction. He is currently filming a documentary programme for Channel 4 entitled My Daughter Amy, which will air in January. Continue Reading…..
I won’t knock Mitch for giving evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee because he was invited to speak, and has had to cope with his daughter’s drug addiction, so should know a thing or two. But I still believe he uses Amy’s celebrity status/drug addiction as a vehicle to bask in the media spotlight.
Whenever Amy hits rock bottom it’s guaranteed that Mitch will call in to BBC Radio 5 the following day to discuss the ins and outs of Amy’s latest drug overdose / admission in to rehab. Then later on in the week he will grant exclusive interviews to numerous tabloid newspapers and proceed to discuss Amy’s numerous addictions again, her destructive marriage and friendships.
I’m not suggesting that he doesn’t care for his daughter but he loves the media attention and he loves being her unofficial spokesperson.
I get the impression that Mitch has always longed for a career in showbiz and through Amy he gets to live out that dream.
As for the up and coming Channel 4 documentary entitled My Daughter Amy (another step up the ‘showbiz ladder’).. I wonder if he spoke to Amy about this project before agreeing to front it….
UK TV: 13 YEAR OLD DIONNE BROMFIELD SINGS LIVE ON STRICTLY COME DANCING
13 year old Dionne Bromfield sang live last night on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with her “godmother” Amy Winehouse singing backing vocals.
Obviously Dionne’s connection to Amy has opened many doors for her ( hanging out in nightclubs with Amy, signed to a major label, appearing on Strictly etc), but the girl can sing. I was impressed.
However not sure what her ‘”godmother” Waste Woman Winehouse was doing. Was she even singing? All I could hear were the male backing vocalists…
And Winehouse looked completely ‘out of it’ as usual.
Anyway well done Dionne!
AMY WINEHOUSE ‘VISITED BY MICHAEL JACKSON’S GHOST’

Amy Winehouse has apparently claimed that a recent visit she received from the ghost of Michael Jackson helped her stay off drugs.
The ‘Back to Black’ singer, who has previously said that she is a big fan of the late King of Pop, reportedly met with mediums during her stay on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
A friend of the star told The People: “[Amy] heard Michael’s voice telling her if she didn’t sort herself out, she’d lose everything.” Continue Reading…..

If Amy did actually say this then its proof she’s back on the hard stuff!

AMY WINEHOUSE SIGNS DEAL TO SELL A RANGE OF GIFT CARDS AND WRAPPING PAPER
According to The Sun Waste Woman Winehouse has signed a deal with EMI to sell a range of wrapping paper and greeting cards featuring her lyrics.
The first release will be ‘Rehab’-themed gift wrap, followed by ‘You Know I’m No Good’ and ‘Back To Black’ cards.

AMY WINEHOUSE TURNS DOWN EMINEM COLLABORATION
Amy Winehouse has reportedly turned down the chance to collaborate with Eminem.
Eminem is said to have been interested in working with the Back To Black star to reprise the success of his partnership with Dido on hit single ‘Stan’, The Sun reports.
One source said: “Amy was flattered by the offer. She loves hip-hop and is a big fan of Eminem. But she didn’t feel it was the right thing to do at the present time.”
