The key suspect being investigated over Madeleine McCann’s disappearance who died in a freak tractor accident was a heroin addict who robbed apartments to fund his habit, it has been claimed.
Euclides Monteiro was fired from his job in the restaurant at the Ocean’s Club in Praia da Luz a year before the McCann’s came to stay in May 2007.
But reports claim he was caught stealing from the tills and raiding the resort’s rooms for valuables to sell in exchange for drugs.
An investigation is now under way to determine whether Monteiro, who was run over by a tractor at the age of 40 in 2009, took Maddie in revenge for losing his job.
Close friend Sergio Paulo, 44, a builder from Lagos, told the Daily Mirror: ‘Toni was a good guy but he had some serious drug problems. He would smoke heroin and become a slave to it.
‘I know he would sometimes break into apartments and rob them. He was taking valuables from rooms at Ocean Club and selling them for drugs.’
Police identified him as their main suspect after mobile phone records indicated he was around the McCanns’ holiday apartment in Praia da Luz when Maddie disappeared on May 3 2007
The flat is a 15-minute drive from the town of Lagos where he was living after he stopped working at the Ocean Club.
Yesterday, it emerged Monteiro, from Cape Verde in West Africa, was convicted of theft in 1996 but escaped deportation after a presidential pardon.

This story has raised my blood pressure. I am fuming.
Several weeks ago police probing the disappearance of Madeleine McCann claimed that there had been an “overwhelming response” after an appeal on the BBC’s Crimewatch programme.
Crimewatch editor Joe Mather told the BBC that several callers gave the same man’s name after e-fit pictures were shown.
The released e-fit pictures look suspiciously like Gerry and Kate McCann, but oddly enough the media and the police still choose to ignore what everyone else can see.

Then last week the police and the media attempted to pin Madeleine’s disappearance on a man who died in 2009 (a so-called new “lead”), and now we have a name, face and the deceased “back story”.
Up until this point there has been NO MENTION of anyone seeing a black man in the area the night Madeleine disappeared, and the only e-fits that have been released are pictures of Caucasian suspects. So where has this information suddenly come from and do they really expect us to believe that Euclides Monteiro abducted a child because he was allegedly fired from his job?
LIES!
The police have no new leads and refuse to investigate closer to home (the McCanns and the friends who were with them the night their daughter vanished), so conveniently decide to blame a dead African immigrant who is not here to defend his name.
Using a dead black man as a scapegoat and the media reporting speculation as if it were fact is beyond low.

3 year old Madeleine McCann disappeared in 2007 during a family holiday in Portugal. Her parents Kate and Gerry McCann left Madeleine and her younger siblings in an unlocked holiday apartment sleeping, while they both went out to eat tapas and drink wine with friends. They did this on more than one occasion.
But since 2007 the media has worked hard to ensure that the public does not acknowledge those middle class professionals, the McCann’s failings or question events surrounding their daughter’s disappearance.

Should we really be so surprised ,after all the time thats elapsed,that this is the best they can come up with. After all the possible leads and sightings they have had to follow the strongest is a “black migrant heroin addict robber”who is now dead!!!Gtfoh .Thats a sun or Daily mail headline if ever there was one. Our people need to wake up and stop libuying into the eurocentric model of life,
how many straws can they clutch at. they never said he was black and e-fits never shown a black man. I pray the truth is revealed and maddie turns up talking the truth of that night her parents left her in a home alone in a foreign country. its like their profession is giving them a pass yet had they been working class the social and police would be slandering their name and taken all remainder kids off them etc. money talks. still pray she is alive though.

So typical. White people of a certain profession and class do the most irresponsible thing EVER and a dead Black man gets the blame.
I don’t buy this story at all and even if it was partly true and he was involved him abducting a child a year after in revenge for losing his job. People don’t wait a year to get revenge on their employers. And as a junkie he probably would have left the kids sleeping and gone to steal from the parents.
A total load of bullsh**!
I still think that this entire abduction account has been made up from start to finish in order to distract the public from some legislation of skull duggerous proportions the government wanted to pass through under the radar. This is what they do. I am certainly not buying into this new load of croc, this so called “new lead” isn’t even believable at a stretch. The saga continues with the lamestream media and their continual prostitution to the highest bidder and HM Coalition.

I guess this means that Madeleine will never be found. He died with the secret.
I think the Portuguese are tired of this case and the McCanns and cannot really be bothered with it all. Obviously it will always be an open case as long as she is missing.
Im so over the McCanns and their shenanigans!
