Desperate to prove to the world that he is not racist Chelsea skipper and England’s former captain John Terry apparently bid and paid £16,000 for a dinner with boy band JLS at a charity bash last night.
The event was held to raise money for the Help For Heroes and Cancer Research charities at The Brewery in London.
A grateful JLS later tweeted,
“Cancer research went in tonight!! thanks for John terry for helping to raise over 30k on a JLS lot!excellent work!!”
John Terry bidding and winning a meal with JLS who just so happen to be an all black boy group just seems extremely suspect. And don’t even get me started on that photograph.
I see the PR machine is once again hard at work here. You are fooling no one John.
I would love to be a fly on the wall during that dinner date. What a FARCE!

James Murdoch is to step down as executive chairman of News International newspapers in the UK, it has been announced.
News Corporation confirmed this afternoon that Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch, will no longer chair the board at the group that includes companies publishing The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun.
He has been widely criticised for his handling of the phone hacking scandal that led to the closure of the News of the World last year, including question marks over how much he knew about the scale of criminal behaviour at the UK newspaper publisher.
Rupert Murdoch, the chief executive and chairman of News Corporation, said that his son will now focus on expanding the company’s pay-TV businesses.
“We are all grateful for James’s leadership at News International and across Europe and Asia, where he has made lasting contributions to the group’s strategy in paid digital content and its efforts to improve and enhance governance programmes,” he said.
“Now that he has moved to New York, James will continue to assume a variety of essential corporate leadership mandates, with particular focus on important pay-TV businesses and broader international operations.” Continue Reading….
James Murdoch has run back to America because he fears he will be arrested and later charged.
News International minions are being fed to the lions while old man Murdoch, his son and Rebekah Brooks seem to be getting away with it. Rebekah in particular knew about her staffs phone hacking practices and the bribing of police officers. How can they expect us to believe that Rebekah and those above her knew nothing of these practices?
It has been announced that The World Boxing Council has given London boxer Dereck Chisora an indefinite ban after his ridiculous brawl with “retired” boxer David Haye during a post-fight press conference several weeks ago.

The debaters got together with two special guests and discussed how far ethnic jokes can go before they become played out. With the African culture becoming a more popular topic amongst comedians, Babatunde (comedian) also had his own opinion on the matter.
Here are some of the questions and points that were raised and discussed during the debate:
- How far will African jokes go before they get boring?
- Can African jokes reach out to the mainstream?
- Are Ethnic jokes offensive?
- Is there a double standard in ethnic comedy?
When comedians are getting on stage telling the same old tired jokes they were telling ten years ago then it’s a problem.
How can Teef say Gina Yashere isn’t funny? Hahahaha. I love that woman. She is FUNNY!

There aren’t enough words for the young lady dancing bare foot and exposing her knickers.

Our Jump Off debaters got together to discuss two different art forms. The art of writing lyrics versus freestyling.
How has the definition of freestyling evolved over time?
Is writing lyrics for an MC battle acceptable?
What is the definition of a freestyle?
As far as I am concerned freestyling is straight off the top of the dome. END OF!
Now you have people going on the Tim Westwood show (for example) fooling the 90s babies in to believing that the lyrics coming from out of their mouths has come straight off the top of their heads, when in fact they had already typed out every word on their Blackberrys and practiced for hours beforehand.
It wasnt like this years ago. But I guess things change.
Your thoughts please….

The BBC reports that the singer Elisabeth Welch is to be commemorated with an English Heritage blue plaque in south-west London.
Welch is the second black woman to be honoured with a blue plaque in London (who was the first?)
The plaque will be unveiled in Ovington Court, Kensington, which was her home during the 1930s when she rose to fame on the cabaret circuit.
The performer died aged 99 in 2003 and has been described as “Britain’s first black star”.
Welch was born in New York in 1904, but lived in London for 70 years.
