Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles launched their House of Dereon collection here in London on Friday and sadly Mad News missed the highly anticipated event. Selfridges and the Knowles’ begged me to attend, they even wanted me to sit front row during the fashion show with rappers Wretch 32, Chipmunk and singer Alexandra Burke (yes they were all in attendance), but I’m sorry I will always stay loyal to the high street.

Russian billionaire Alexander Lebedev, owner of British newspapers The Evening Standard and The Independent, punched a man in the face during a television debate on the financial crisis.

Lebedev, a former KGB agent who has made a fortune in banking attacked former real estate baron Sergei Polonsky.

He  justified the assault by saying Polonsky had behaved in an aggressive, threatening manner throughout the debate.

Anyway I wonder who the ‘UK support’ act/s will be.

Choice FM has announced today that singer/TV presenter Jamelia will co-host the station’s breakfast show for the last two weeks in September (from Monday 19th – 30th) alongside funny man Kojo.

Jamelia said:  “I’m so excited about presenting the breakfast show on Choice.  Although I’m a little nervous, to be on with one of my good friends Kojo, makes it a little less daunting. I’m a huge fan of the show and hope to do a good job of filling the lovely Max’s boots while she’s away. I can’t wait!”

Kweku Adoboli

The banker arrested on suspicion of fraud after he lost £1.3 billion while working at major investment bank UBS has been named. Ghanaian Kweku Adoboli (31) was arrested in a pre-dawn raid earlier today.
