This reminds me of the time when they added Soul singer Anthony Hamilton to the ‘Best Reggae’ category because he recorded a one-off Reggae single (which admittedly was FIRE!) But still!

  1. The list is not surprising at all, don’t even think I’ve heard music from half of the best newcomers. And I noticed no Kanye /MBDTF, guess cause even they knew he wouldn’t bother coming so didn’t want to waste space. Shit, theres not even any Trey either, would have thought he would have at least popped up somewhere.

  2. Are there any music award shows these days that mean anything? Or are most of them just used to promote/sell some artists. Sometimes i see a talented artist mixed in with everyone else and i wish they were never nominated at all. Like an insult. But hey, i guess an award is an award.

  3. The award shows these days are a reflection of the state of the music industry that is motivated by money mainly and not talent. Popularity over talent. Although i hardly know any of those artists nominated.
