VIDEO: BEYONCE – RUN THE WORLD (GIRLS)

May 19, 2011 5 comments

The much talked about video for Beyonce’s new single Run The World (Girls) is finally here.

Beyonce’s team are probably praying and hoping that the video will push up single sales but in reality this isn’t her best work.  I don’t like this song at all.  I understand she’s trying to do something different here but the song just sounds all over the place.

UK NEWS: STEPHEN LAWRENCE MURDER SUSPECTS TO STAND TRIAL

May 18, 2011 14 comments

Via The Guardian

Two men are to stand trial accused of being part of a racist white gang that “targeted and killed” the black teenager Stephen Lawrence because of the colour of his skin, the appeal court has said.

The killing in 1993 in Eltham, south-east London, is one of the most high-profile unsolved murders in Britain.

The men charged are David Norris, who has never before been charged over the stabbing, and Gary Dobson, who stood trial previously and was found not guilty.

Dobson was acquitted of killing Lawrence, 18, after a private murder prosecution brought in 1996 by the parents of the talented youngster who dreamed of being an architect.

A new law established in 2003 abolished the longstanding ban on people being retried for the same crime after being found not guilty, if “compelling” new evidence came to light.

The appeal court agreed on Wednesday that new evidence was compelling enough to allow Dobson’s acquittal to be quashed.

[Thanks Studio Pixie]

YES!!! I have nothing but respect for Doreen and Neville  Lawrence who refused to give up. I hope they finally get justice for Stephen.

Rest In Peace Stephen Lawrence.

Hahahahaha! This has given me my first big laugh of the day.

Maybe its an age thing, but for me a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ doesn’t involve eating a meal at Nandos with P Money and Flawless.

But, yes folks win a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to sit sucking on a Peri-Peri chicken leg with your favourite MC at Nandos.

That reminds me.. I better post news about the latest Mad News competition. ‘Win a once in a life opportunity to have dinner with a well known “Urban” face at The Chicken Cottage in South London’.

Good luck!

UK NEWS: FIVE TEENAGERS FACE JAIL AFTER HUNTING DOWN AND KILLING BOY 15 AT VICTORIA STATION

May 16, 2011 3 comments

Sofyen Belamouadden

Via The Daily Mail

Five teenagers were facing jail today for the killing of a 15-year-old boy who was ‘hunted down’ and stabbed at a London Tube station in an attack planned on Facebook.

Rush-hour commuters looked on in horror as Sofyen Belamouadden was chased across a concourse at Victoria station in London by 20 youths charging at him with weapons including a samurai sword.

The schoolboy tumbled down a flight of stairs into an Underground ticket hall where he was surrounded, punched, kicked, and knifed repeatedly as he lay helpless on the floor.

Obi Nwoke, 18, and a 17-year-old youth were convicted of murder and three others found guilty of manslaughter by an Old Bailey jury.

One member of the gang, Samuel Roberts, told the court that he joined in the violence – captured on CCTV – simply because ‘everyone else was doing it’.

Nwokeh, of Bermondsey, and the 17-year-old were convicted of murder by unanimous jury verdicts.

Roberts, of Camberwell, Adonis Akra, of Stockwell, both 18, and another 17-year-old were cleared of the charge but convicted of manslaughter.

The 17-year-old went Facebook to urge his friends to bring or buy knives as they planned the attack the night before.

Enoch Amoah, 18, of Camberwell, was cleared of both charges but convicted of violent disorder.

One defendant, Adonis Akra, admitted being on the footage but said he was ‘unaware of what was going on’, that he did not stab the schoolboy, and that he was ‘shocked’ when he later learned of what had happened.

Another, Samuel Roberts, admitted kicking Sofyen in the head and said: ‘I don’t know what I was thinking. Having looked back on this I can only feel shame.’

He added: ‘Everyone else was doing it. It was stupid, I don’t know what to say.’ Continue Reading….

I am just so angry and disgusted right now. This was just SAVAGE!

Those  evil scum bags should be dropped amongst wild animals and made to run for their pitiful lives,  so that they can feel the fear that Sofyen felt. But seeing as human rights groups will step in to ensure that this never happens, then I can only hope that the scum go down for at least 30 years (without parole).

One member of the gang, Samuel Roberts, told the court that he joined in the violence – captured on CCTV – simply because ‘everyone else was doing it’.

So this fool had no mind of his own???  Worthless sheep!

Rest In Peace Sofyen Belamouadden.

UK NEWS: BOY BAND BLUE BLAME POLITICS FOR EUROVISION FAILURE

May 16, 2011 4 comments

Blue

Via TV Scoop

Blue claim they were the victims of political voting during Saturday night’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The band – made up of Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe – came 11th as they represented the UK with their song ‘I Can’ at the event in Germany but believe they would have finished higher if countries had voted for the performance rather than their neighbours.

Simon said: “It is often not really about the song but who your neighbours are. But we are proud of what we did.” However, former manager of Blue, Daniel Glatman, criticised the boy band for entering the contest in the first place. “They have gone from being a massive boyband who sold 14 million records to the band who flopped at Eurovision,” he said.

Following their disappointment, Duncan, Lee and Simon stayed up until 6am, drinking Jaegermeister, champagne and vodka Red Bulls while Antony was so gutted he went straight to bed.

Blue are behaving as if they didn’t know what Eurovision was all about before entering the competition. Eurovision is about cheesy Pop tunes, mediocre vocals and countries voting for their neighbours. It’s not to be taken seriously. So why are they surprised they lost???

You all wanted to enjoy major success as a boy band again (circa 2000-2005), but entering Eurovision definitely wasn’t the way to go.

“we are proud of what we did.”

Proud of what exactly? You didn’t win and finished in 11th place.
