Nicki Minaj was forced to cancel an appearance at London nightclub, Runway, after a fight broke out at the venue.

The Check It Out rapper, who is currently promoting her new album, Pink Friday, in Blighty, was due to perform at the club, but had to change her plans last-minute after hearing about the brawl. Continue Reading…..

I read via Twitter that some people paid £1,000 just to be near Nicki at the Runway night spot.

If this is in fact true then all I can do is laugh. Those individuals who forked out that amount of money clearly have no sense.  Born idiots and far too obsessed with “celebrity”.

And as for the brawl, it wouldn’t surprise me if the people brawling were the same foolish individuals who forked out up to £1,000 to be there.

VIDEO: DIDDY – DIRTY MONEY LISTENING PARTY (LONDON)

January 21, 2011 1 comment

Last night London went in to an absolute ”frenzy” because  Diddy-Dirty Money were in town to launch their new album Last Train To Paris, released in America in late 2010. The album will drop here in the UK on the 24 January, but lets face it most people on this side of the pond (who are fans) have probably already listened to the album.

Anyway Sumit from The Hip Hop Chronicle UK attended the listening party last night where Diddy later brought on stage the crème de la crème of UK “URBAN”, Skepta, Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder.  Diddy claims that he plans on working with the three of them soon.

This I actually believe because let’s face it what’s Diddy got to lose? The Bad Boy era has long since passed and nobody’s really paying that much attention to his musical efforts stateside, so he might as well latch on to artists over here who have enjoyed some success and see if he can make some Pound Sterling by collaborating with them.

Check out the listening party footage below.

I have to hand it to Diddy he just won’t stop. He can’t stop. The man just keeps on going like the blasted Energizer bunny.

A live hen was thrown through the open window of a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Warwickshire.

A third man filmed the pair and the footage has since appeared on the internet.

Inspector Helen Smith, from the RSPCA, said the bird was not harmed but did suffer some distress. Continue Reading…..

Vybz Kartel - Before and After

“This is my new image,” Kartel said in the interview. “You can expect the unexpected. I feel comfortable with black people lightening their skin. They want a different look. It’s tantamount to white people getting a sun tan.

UK NEWS: NICKI MINAJ SET TO APPEAR AT LONDON / WATFORD NIGHT SPOTS

January 19, 2011 2 comments

Rapper Nicki Minaj is here in London and as you can imagine a tidal wave of excitement has gripped the entire nation.

Anyway Nicki tweeted today that she will be at the Oceana nightclub (in Watford) tomorrow night and will then move on to Runway.  I can hear her “UK Barbies” screaming.

No doubt her fans over the age of 18 will be happy to read this news, but I just foresee typical US ” music artist of the moment” antics when abroad.

  • Nicki will breeze in to Oceana after midnight with her entourage, where they will then be escorted to the VIP area by an overzealous promoter and security personnel.
  • Excited club patrons/ her fans will all clamber to see the star but will just end up catching a glimpse of her pink wig flying in to the VIP area (that’s if they are very lucky).
  • Nicki and her entourage will then sit in the VIP area for 1 hour alongside a bunch of high profile  “urban” personalities and randoms from the world of music, TV and radio, all out to impress for some reason.
  • Once the 1 hour is up Nicki will then leave with her entourage, collecting up 30k appearance fee on the way out.
  • And then it’s on to Runway where the exact same sequence of events will go down.

ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE FRONT COVER (FEB 2011 ISSUE) LIL WAYNE

Check out “enlightening” extract from the Rolling Stone article below.

In prison he read biographies of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Joan Jett, Vince Lombardi and Anthony Kiedis. “[Kiedis'] Scar Tissue was really good,” he says. “I also read the Bible for the first time. It was deep! I liked the parts where some character was once this, but he ended up being that. Like he’d be dissing Jesus, and then he ends up being a saint. That was cool.”

Sometimes I think Lil Wayne who is in his LATE 20s – A BIG OLD MAN, speaks like a 10-year-old boy and behaves dumb for fun.  It has to be an act.

UK NEWS: SUGAR MAGAZINE TO CLOSE

January 19, 2011 2 comments

Another print publication bites the dust!

Via The Guardian

Teenage girls’ magazine Sugar is to close after a 75% fall in circulation over the past decade, with publisher Hachette Filipacchi blaming young readers’ appetite for free content.

The 17-year-old magazine, which at its peak in the first half of 2000 had an average monthly sale of 422,179, sold just 113,320 a month during the first half of last year.

Hachette said it had taken the decision “with regret” and would concentrate its efforts on the magazine’s website, Sugarscape. Its March issue will be its last regular edition, with a “beauty special” to be published in April. Continue Reading….
