Tinie Tempah’s latest single Frisky sounds pretty good. His style of rapping sounds familiar though. But I can’t quite put my finger on who he reminds me of yet.
Anyway I like the track but cannot stand the “chocolate biscuit” line. It sounds out of place.

An art teacher accused of hurting a badly behaved pupil with a tube of glue began a £10,000-a-day trial today over the ‘relatively minor injury’.
Lynda May is accused of slamming a Pritt Stick on to the 12-year-old’s desk and catching his thumb after he lost his temper.
The 54-year-old retaliated after the special needs pupil struck the desk with his hand when glue was getting stuck to his fingers – hitting May’s wrist, the court heard.
May then allegedly used the tube to hit out at the boy during an art class in September last year, leaving his thumb bleeding.
The teacher, of Neath, South Wales, was arrested six weeks later and charged with assaulting the pupil, causing him actual bodily harm. Continue Reading….

Rapper Chipmunk tells us he wants to be a “superstar” in his latest single. He wants the money, the fame blah blah blah, but “doesn’t want the stress”.
Yeah good luck with that Chippy.
When I look at Chipmunk and read his posts via Twitter, I can just tell it’s all gone to his head. The guy has one of the biggest ego’s out there.
Yes as a rapper you’re supposed to have a certain air of confidence and swagger, but there is a limit. There are a few artists over here who just take it too far.
But I do take in to consideration that Chipmunk is in his teens and still has a lot to learn.
Anyway Superstar isn’t a bad track. Lyrically, I know that rappers have always bragged on wax but JEEZE!!!

“TV Rap girl” Donatella Panayiotou has just announced that she will join MTV’s The Wrap Up as a new presenter.
Donatella, whose dad Angelo is a millionaire club boss, used to contribute/run the website, Grime Daily, but resigned after a shooting that left several critically wounded at the website’s first anniversary party.
At the time the tabloid press somehow got it in to their heads that Donatella was the intended target, and low and behold folks her profile went through the roof!
Anyway this is what the ’UK’s no.1 ”URBAN” music expert/presenter Donatella, had to say about her new gig over at MTV.

From what I’ve heard Donatella’s presenting skills leave a whole lot to be desired. But I always knew that a mainstream media organisation would snap her up after the Grime Daily debacle.
Donatella was always going to be offered a high profile job.
She will ride on that “URBAN” bus till the wheels fall off.
Terri Walker
Soul Culture reports that British Soul singer Terri Walker has inked a deal with Damon Dash’s newly resurrected label Roc-A-Fella Records.
Walker revealed to the website that she is recording her fourth studio album with producer Ski Beatz, which will be distributed through Roc-A-Fella Records.
She added,
“I have no release date confirmed yet but I can tell you the theme. Seeing as I am working with Hip Hop legends, I have decided to have a Hip Hop theme on this album. I want to have a lot of up and coming features on this album – US and UK – and whoever fits what I’m doing. So far it has all fit into place. I’m going to be distributed through Roc-A-Fella which means more freedom for me.”
Hmmmm…..She has inked a deal with the newly resurrected Roc-A-Fella Records, with a now spaced out and weed obsessed Damon Dash solely at the helm.
But I’m going to put aside my personal reservations for now.
Admittedly I have never been a great fan of Terri’s music, but I hope it all works out for her. She has been toiling away for years now and deserves to be rewarded with some success.

Richard Blackwood
It has been brought to my attention that Choice FM host Richard Blackwood has been M.I.A (Missing In Action) for weeks now, and there has been no explanation for his absence.
*Note I last tuned in to Choice back in 2006. This is just what I’ve been told. *
Fellow blogger and radio host Miss Lala posted recent video footage of Richard when he appeared on Tim Westwood’s BBC Radio show, and then went on to ask, “do Choice FM allow their DJs to fraternise with other DJs from rival stations? hmmm”.
Good question!
So what is going here? Has he gone on holiday? Has he left the station? Or was he pushed?
Enquiring minds would like to know.
