AKON NO LONGER BACKS KONVICT FRAGRANCE
Earlier this year it was announced that the singer Akon would be releasing a new fragrance called Konvict, and as you can see below the bottle was shaped like a handcuff.
People were not impressed. Myself included.
Akon must have realized that perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea to be seen endorsing this foolishness, because today Rhymes With Snitch reports that the singer has now distanced himself from the product.
Akon says he was in talks with a fragrance company to endorse a cologne, but decided to pull out and was appalled when the company formed Konvict Cosmetics International and forged ahead with out him!
He is suing for damages and asking that the company immediately cease production.
So the harsh online commentary had nothing to do with your decision Akon?

Something tells me that if the feedback had been positive he would have continued to endorse Konvict.
