Mercury recording artist Mr Hudson this afternoon announced on his twitter page that London rap artist Stylah has won the competition to feature on the UK edition of his new single Anyone But Him. The song, which features Kanye West on the original album version, is due for release in May with Stylah guest featuring. Stylah will also be joining Mr Hudson on stage to perform the track on his current UK tour.
Whilst currently independent, Stylah has recently been in talks with major labels for his solo material after a long campaign building his name and fan base through mix CDs, internet virals and live shows.
The announcement by Mr Hudson today of this high profile guest appearance
will presumably do these negotiations no harm and the future looks bright for this young rapper.
I know that Jay-Z and Kanye are both in love with Mr Hudson but I still don’t understand why.
And are we really still messing with auto-tune? I thought that had been killed off.
But anyway congratulations goes out to Stylah!!!

Earlier this year it was announced that the singer Akon would be releasing a new fragrance called Konvict, and as you can see below the bottle was shaped like a handcuff.
People were not impressed. Myself included.
Akon must have realized that perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea to be seen endorsing this foolishness, because today Rhymes With Snitch reports that the singer has now distanced himself from the product.
Akon says he was in talks with a fragrance company to endorse a cologne, but decided to pull out and was appalled when the company formed Konvict Cosmetics International and forged ahead with out him!
He is suing for damages and asking that the company immediately cease production.
So the harsh online commentary had nothing to do with your decision Akon?
Something tells me that if the feedback had been positive he would have continued to endorse Konvict.
