UK FILM: 4.3.2.1 POSTER – A LESSON LEARNED!

March 21, 2010 25 comments

Last week the official poster for the up and coming Noel Clarke film 4.3.2.1 debuted online, which I later featured on Mad News.

I also asked Noel a question regarding the poster which surprisingly didn’t seem to go down too well. He didn’t take to kindly to being questioned about the decision to feature one actress on the poster, clad only in underwear.

Click here to read the post/subsequent heated debate if you missed it.

Noel Clarke

Since then I have received emails from his supporters criticizing me for “calling Noel out like that” (erm all I did was ask the man a question), I’ve been called “negative”, “petty”, a ”waste gyal” (LOL) and a ”f**king hater”.

I long for the day when the Americans come up with a word to replace the now overused “hater”, so us Brits can then have a new word to beat to death.

Anyway I had no idea that a question would generate so much anger and verbal abuse.

But I have since learned my lesson.

I am after all,  just a lowly working class South London (“the endz”) chick who happens to run a blog .

WHO AM I to question BAFTA award-winning/Dr Who star Noel Clarke?

WHO AM I to question this great man, who has single handedly dragged a community out of the job centre and opened doors for so many black actors/actresses across the land?

I am a nobody within the elitist and “oh so luvvie” world of UK showbiz.

A nobody!

4.3.2.1 will open in cinemas nationwide on June 2nd.

UK NEWS: FORMER BNP MEMBER FALLS FOR JAMAICAN COLLEAGUE

March 21, 2010 10 comments

Pete and Kaye

This has got to be the funniest article I’ve read so far this year!

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Via The Daily Mirror

Pete’s story

If someone had said to me in the 80s that I’d marry a black woman, I’d have said “Never in a million years!”

You see, I dread to think how many years I’d been active with the BNP.

I was in my late teens when it all started. Growing up I didn’t really have black friends or know any other cultures apart from my own.

I was always looking back to the “good old days” of England. I was worried about immigration and I couldn’t see where it would all end.

Then I read a BNP magazine called Identity, and I thought, “I agree with that all the way.” That’s when I got active doing leafleting for them, and eventually I progressed to regional organiser.

I was blinded by it. They said what I wanted to hear. I was involved right through the 80s, when BNP founder John Tyndall was in charge before Nick Griffin, who I also became friendly with.

I wouldn’t go on marches, I couldn’t see the point. But I’d go to Red White and Blue conventions.

Then in the summer of 2005 I was working as a manager for Royal Mail in the Northampton depot when I met Kaye. She’d just taken a part-time job and I thought she was beautiful. Continue Reading….

I have a sneaking suspicion that the journalist responsible for this article has made the whole story up. Something just doesn’t ring true here.

But if I am wrong and it is true, then I think Kaye is just desperate to gain permanent residency/British citizenship, and Pete’s her ticket to achieving this.

There can be no other explanation for her level of naivety.

And Pete probably wasn’t getting any action before Kaye came along and grew tired of pleasuring himself each night.

UK TV: JLS & LEMAR PERFORM ON BBC SPORTS RELIEF

Singer Lemar and boyband JLS performed the ballad What About Love on last nights Sports Relief.

Those JLS boys need some serious vocal training. Their management should think about hiring Lemar.

VIDEO: ROBIN THICKE FT ESTELLE – ROLLACOASTA

March 19, 2010 6 comments

Robin Thicke teams up with rapper/singer Estelle on his new single ‘Rollacoasta’.

I thought I would hate this track. “An Estelle and Robin Thicke duet? It’s bound to be dire’”.

But ‘Rollacoasta’ is catchy and a grower.

Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

PRIME MINISTER GORDON BROWN LOOKALIKE WANTED!

March 19, 2010 1 comment

With just two months to go before the General Election, photographer Alison Jackson hits the road in a desperate bid to find a stable of political lookalikes. As the clock ticks towards May 6th she hunts for a Gordon Brown, a Peter Mandelson,  an Alistair Darling. Her whistle-stop tour of the country takes her to locations significant in each politician’s political journey. For example: the industrial Scottish town of Kircaldy for Brown;  the fishing port of Hartlepool and the night-clubs of Manchester for Mandelson; Loretto public school and a meeting of the Scottish socialist workers party for Darling.

The ostensible purpose of the hour-long film is to find a passable lookalike for these political heavy-weights amongst the people they grew up or lived with – and with this in mind Jackson is armed with megaphone, battle bus, and cardboard cut-outs. The resulting impromptu castings provide a fascinating insight into the world of the wannabe-lookalike. But at the same time Jackson’s tour also manages to take the political temperature of the nation at this key time providing a humorous, observational and informative snapshot of pre-election Britain – and what ordinary Britons really think of their political overlords.

Noel Clarke

Actor/director/writer Noel Clarke will release his highly anticipated new film 4,3,2,1 in June 2010.

Check out the poster below.

Brown Eyez has asked this question and now I’m asking….

Why is actress Shanika Warren-Markland the only woman featured on the poster wearing just a bra and panties???

The other women are fully clothed so what’s that all about???

Care to enlighten us Mr Clarke???

Watch the “unofficial trailer” below.

UK NEWS: GANG MEMBER /KILLER CONVICTED USING DOG DNA IN LEGAL FIRST

March 18, 2010 8 comments

Murderer Chrisdian Johnson

Via The Times Online

A gang member who used his dog to drag down a 16-year-old rival before he stabbed him to death has become the first killer to be caught after officers used a new animal DNA database to place him at the scene.

Prosecutors were able to prove that Chrisdian Johnson, 22, was at the murder site through his dog’s blood that was found both on him and at the attack site.

Johnson, a member of the O-tray gang in South London, was with up to 20 members of his gang in a park in Stockwell, south London, when they surrounded Christopher Ogunyemi, known as Seyi, and his friends, who were from a rival estate.

Seyi, who only weighed seven-stones, desperately tried to run and escape the gang by scaling a fence but Johnson ordered his dog Tyson, a Staffordshire bull terrier-bull mastiff cross, to get him. Seyi was pulled to the ground. Continue Reading….

The UK government should enter in to talks with the US government and arrange for evil scum bag waste men gang members like Chrisdian to be sent to prisons stateside, because the prison system in this country is a joke!

Send them to the toughest US prisons and lets see how long the animals / wanna be “gangsters” last.

Rest In Peace Christopher Ogunyemi
