The 2009 Miss Black Britain beauty pageant which took place last Saturday, will probably now enter the Guinness Book Of Records for being the most slated event ever!!!!

Nia Long’s international publicist Jessica Huie recently spoke to Overground Online and explained why the American actress walked out of the event.
She tells the website,
‘Nia was disappointed that the lack of organisation lead to her early departure. She and I arrived at the venue at 7pm as requested to perform a walk-through before the show opened at 8pm.
‘On arrival we were informed by the organisers that Ms Long’s co-host [UK model Ainslee] “was not confident” enough and they had been left to draft in an alternative co-host. This meant the script which Ms Long had rehearsed was now defunct.‘The chaotic scene which met us on arrival due to the road closures around the venue earlier in the day, suggested a severe lack of organisation, and this was not a scenario either myself or Ms Long were comfortable she host in.
‘Having agreed to attend purely as a support for the contestants and the positive ethos of the Miss Black Britain concept, Ms Long agreed to stay in a judging capacity.
‘The show opened 90 minutes late, by which point Ms Long had been sitting in her dressing room for almost two hours. Due to a previously organised engagement at 11pm, we had no option but to leave the venue at the interval.
‘If the show had run to schedule Ms Long would have remained present throughout, and was disappointed that the lack of organisation lead to her early departure.’

Workers are taking Britain’s biggest recruitment firm to court claiming they were subjected to racism, including Ku Klux Klan-style chants.
The employees – who all work in IT with top company Hays – also say an offensive email mocking US President Barack Obama was sent around their office.
And one of the men claims a manager threw a banana when he complained of being hungry at a meeting.
Kevin Snagg, 38, says a boss told him: ” Have the banana, you “Have the banana, you big monkey.” The trio have lodged racial discrimination claims to an industrial tribunal. Continue Reading…..
I also read in The Metro this morning that they allegedly chanted “Kill the nigger, burn the nigger” while pretending to be Klansmen.
I thought that racism in the UK was a thing of the past. I believed I lived in a tolerant society. I am shell-shocked right now!!!!

Anyway it wouldn’t surprise me if this is all true.
And I cannot believe that in 2009 racists are still pulling out the old banana line.

The International Association of Athletics Federations has agreed that the South African runner Caster Semenya will keep her 800 metres world title, the country’s sports ministry said today.
The 18-year-old Semenya, who stormed to victory in August’s world championships in Berlin, underwent gender verification tests this summer in South Africa and Germany and a panel of experts has been studying the results for the IAAF.
South Africa’s government, Semenya’s lawyers and the IAAF had reached total agreement that she will retain her gold medal, title and prize money because she has been found “innocent of any wrong”, the ministry said in a statement.
Agreement was also reached with the IAAF that scientific gender tests conducted on Semenya will be treated as confidential and there will be no public announcement of the results. Continue Reading…..

After the Superbowl/Justin Timberlake debacle no US network wanted to touch Janet Jackson. MTV deserted her (they refused to play her videos) and she was treated like a leper.
The woman was vilified and ignored!
But since the tragic death of her brother Michael they all now want a piece of Janet. They all want to hear the star’s story and now embrace her like they care.
These people are so two-faced!
I just hope that Janet has a long memory!
