TLC group member Tionne Watkins aka T-Boz recently appeared on comedian/actress Mo’nique’s new show and recalls the time TLC threatened music mogul Clive Davis with a gun.
The group sold millions of records and made the label $75 million, but they only received $50,000 each.
T-Boz, Chilli and Left Eye (RIP) later walked in to Arista Records and held Davis hostage while demanding to know the whereabouts of their ‘muthaf**kin money’.
British National Party leader Nick Griffin will appear on Question Time tonight (Oct 22nd) and I for one will definitely be tuning in to watch this debate!
People are getting themselves all worked up over Nick’s appearance on the show tonight, and the BBC has been put under immense pressure to ban him from the proceedings. But I personally don’t see what all the fuss is about.
There is no point in pretending that the racist British National Party doesn’t exist. They already have a following that is steadily growing as each day goes by and many ‘secretly’ support their “policies”.
This country loves to sweep racism under the carpet and loves to give the false impression that it isn’t a major problem here. But those of us with sense know different.
I am all for confronting racism, I like to know where I stand and want to hear what this wannabe Klansman has to say!
This is going to be one hell of a debate (well at least I hope it is).
Hopefully the debate will be available to watch again on YouTube in the next couple of days. If so then I will post on Mad News.
If the abusive women featured on this show were men the audience would be baying for blood and Tyra’s line of questioning wouldn’t have been so “gentle”.
You can just sense an air of sympathy for these women throughout their interviews, especially when they put on the water works.
But I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for those disturbed monsters (who both deserve to get their faces slapped off) and I’m glad that both men saw sense in the end and dumped them.
This morning the news (posted on a fake FOX News website) of rapper Kanye West’s untimely death was the top trending topic on Twitter.
But all you Kanye fans out there will be relieved to know that the man is still in fact living and this was just some sick joke.
Hours later Kanye’s girlfriend the remarkably talented Amber Rose, took to her Twitter page and expressed her disgust and outrage. She basically went on about it not being funny and standing by her man blah blah blah.
Anyway Kanye is still breathing.
Yay!
It wouldn’t surprise me if Kanye was actually behind this hoax.
John Barnes, the former Liverpool and England winger, has been declared bankrupt by a Liverpool insolvency court only days after he was fired as manager of Tranmere Rovers.
Barnes, 45, gave his occupation as a ‘provider of media services, lately a footballer’. He was declared insolvent and will be discharged on 14 October, 2010.
The hearing took place five days after Barnes’ dismissal from Prenton Park, where his side lost eight of the 11 games under his control. Barnes had quit as manager of Jamaica in May to take over at the League One club, who are local to him.
It was the culmination of an unhappy career in management for Barnes, who had a lucrative playing career, winning 79 England caps and twice winning the Footballer of the Year award. He was still at Watford when he was first capped for England and after his golden years at Liverpool he moved to Newcastle in 1997 and appeared for them as a late substitute in the 1998 FA Cup final, becoming one of a handful of players to appear for three clubs in the Wembley showpiece game.
John Barnes has made a lot of money over the years and continued to make a lot of money long after his football career ended. So how did the man end up bankrupt???
UPDATE: The Times Online reports that John is playing down the situation, and insists his bankruptcy is due to a “tax oversight” which he is now dealing with.
Amy Winehouse’s father was asked to give evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee, which is carrying out an investigation into the illegal cocaine trade.
Experts and those with first hand experience of the drug were asked to share their opinions with the committee. It is due to report its findings in December.
Mitch Winehouse was invited to speak as his daughter has a well documented history of drug addiction. He is currently filming a documentary programme for Channel 4 entitled My Daughter Amy, which will air in January. Continue Reading…..
I won’t knock Mitch for giving evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee because he was invited to speak, and has had to cope with his daughter’s drug addiction, so should know a thing or two. But I still believe he uses Amy’s celebrity status/drug addiction as a vehicle to bask in the media spotlight.
Whenever Amy hits rock bottom it’s guaranteed that Mitch will call in to BBC Radio 5 the following day to discuss the ins and outs of Amy’s latest drug overdose / admission in to rehab. Then later on in the week he will grant exclusive interviews to numerous tabloid newspapers and proceed to discuss Amy’s numerous addictions again, her destructive marriage and friendships.
I’m not suggesting that he doesn’t care for his daughter but he loves the media attention and he loves being her unofficial spokesperson.
I get the impression that Mitch has always longed for a career in showbiz and through Amy he gets to live out that dream.
As for the up and coming Channel 4 documentary entitled My Daughter Amy (another step up the ‘showbiz ladder’).. I wonder if he spoke to Amy about this project before agreeing to front it….
A London Underground worker accused of launching a foul-mouthed tirade at an elderly passenger describes himself as an “easygoing” type.
Ian Morbin, 25, was filmed at Holborn station calling the man a “jumped-up little git” after the customer complained about getting his arm stuck in a Tube door.
Mr Morbin, from Romford, has been suspended on full pay after the incident, in which he was heard saying: “Sling him under a train”. The passenger is understood to have made a formal complaint to Transport for London and an investigation has been launched.
On his Facebook profile, which has since been taken down, Mr Morbin describes himself as an “easygoing guy”. The customer service assistant writes: “My future will be in either the driving of Tube trains or trucks.
“I’m often mistaken for unfriendly because I tend to be quiet, but don’t assume that means I hate you, or that I’m bored!” Mr Morbin says his religion is “Jedi” and his interests include “hauntings”, clubbing, rock music gigs and trucks.
Yes Rihanna has taken a break away from traipsing up and down the streets of New York City like it’s a catwalk, looking like mutton dressed as lamb (on the odd occasion) to release her “highly anticipated” new single Russian Roulette.
In my opinion it sounds like a mid 1980s Pop ballad.
Mad News Verdict: Dry! Russian Roulette is nothing to write home about.
