Via BBC News Two cinema chains say, on police advice, they will not show a film about gang culture made in Birmingham. 1DAY follows the violent life of two inner city gangs and was filmed in the Handsworth area, starring local people. UK NEWS: NIGERIAN SUICIDE CHILD RELEASED

  Via The Evening Standard A 10 year old Nigerian girl who attempted suicide after being detained in a Gatwick immigration centre for a second time has been released with her mother on the orders of Home Secretary Alan Johnson. Adeoti Ogunsola and her mother will appeal to stay in Britain.  Click here to read more about this story. MADONNA FLIES IN TO MALAWI TO MARK CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

No longer on a one woman quest to rid the African continent of it’s children, superstar Madonna flew in to Malawi and donned dark shades yesterday as she marked the construction of a new school for girls. Anyone would think Queen Elizabeth II was paying the country a visit… Would it not have made more sense to wait until the building is actually standing and then mark it’s opening??? Anyway well done Madge!
