Beats by Dr. Dre, Naomi Campbell, Nokia and Adidas are among the Creative Invites with the aim to discover new talent, design new products and create original content. They are other major artists and brands who have embraced the Talenthouse vision to enable emerging artists from all disciplines around the world to secure recognition and compensation.
Here is some more information on Naomi Campbell’s and Dr Dre’s Creative Invites:Naomi Campbell, the internationally renowned supermodel, has created two “Creative Invites” exclusive to the Talenthouse community. You can also set up your own creative invite on Talent House if you’re looking for a creative collaboration yourself. e.g. if you’re looking for a graphic designer to make a new logo for your blog.
UK NEWS: FOOTBALLER MARLON KING JAILED FOR 18 MONTHS

Via Sky Sports News
Wigan striker Wigan striker Marlon King has been jailed for 18 months after being found guilty of a nightclub attack on a young woman.
King, who was celebrating both his wife’s pregnancy and scoring a winning goal hours earlier, was repeatedly “cold-shouldered” by women revellers in London’s packed Soho Revue Bar last December.
When a slightly-built university student became the latest to recoil from his touch, he lost his temper and in an outburst of “completely gratuitous violence” lashed out, “smashing” her to the floor.
Well that’s Marlon’s football career flushed down the toilet!
With three children and a wife to support I just hope he had enough good sense to save some money.
UK NEWS: CINEMAS PULL INNER CITY GANG FILM

No surprises here!
Via BBC News
Two cinema chains say, on police advice, they will not show a film about gang culture made in Birmingham.
1DAY follows the violent life of two inner city gangs and was filmed in the Handsworth area, starring local people.
Odeon and Cineworld said they would not show the movie, due for national release on 6 November, in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the force had not asked for the film to be pulled but it was investigating whether an officer had approached cinemas independently. Continue Reading…….
When I watched the trailer for 1 Day I just knew there would be a problem.
I guess if you live in Birmingham and desperately want to see this film, then you will have to travel to another city in the UK to watch it.
At the moment it’s only been banned in Birmingham but then again how long before it’s banned all over the UK?
Anyway 1 Day will be released in other cities around the UK on Friday 6th November.
Gang violence in Birmingham has escalated over the past 5 years, so do you think the police are right to censor this film there?

2009 BET HIP HOP AWARDS FREESTYLE CYPHER: NICKI MINAJ, JOE BUDDEN, EMINEM, KRS-ONE
Why would they even think to include Nicki Minaj???? It’s complete and utter madness! The woman cannot rap!
I’m sorry but cold hard cash and bodily fluids had to have been exchanged behind closed doors for this to have happened.

British reggae artist Maxi Priest has been completely off the radar for sometime now.
So let me be the first to congratulate him on his return back into the media’s spotlight.
British reggae star MAXI PRIEST has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
The musician, who enjoyed hits with a cover of Cat Stevens’ Wild World and a duet with Shaggy, reportedly attacked a former lover after she caught him in a car with another woman.
Priest was taken into custody by cops in London over allegations he pushed his ex to the floor and ripped her clothes when she reportedly threatened to smash his vehicle with a brick.
He was bailed after spending a night in custody.
I can just imagine the scene…..

The White Beauty Myth (Channel 4 tonight 10pm)
For those who don’t know it’s currently Black History Month here in the UK and our TV networks have decided to celebrate this fact by airing the following documentaries…..
Note: It’s not a coincidence that they decided to schedule these documentaries during this period.
Race & Intelligence: Science’s Last Taboo ( aired last night (October 26th on Channel 4)
In 2007, Nobel Prize winning US scientist James Watson was quoted referring to research suggesting that black people were less intelligent than other races. His comments caused a storm of controversy, Watson was condemned. In this documentary, part of the season Race: Science’s Last Taboo, Rageh Omaar sets out to find out the truth, meeting scientists who believe the research supports the view that races can be differentiated as well as those who vehemently oppose this view. By daring to ask the difficult questions, Omaar is able to explode the myths about race and IQ and reveal what he thinks are important lessons for society.

MADONNA FLIES IN TO MALAWI TO MARK CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS
No longer on a one woman quest to rid the African continent of it’s children, superstar Madonna flew in to Malawi and donned dark shades yesterday as she marked the construction of a new school for girls.
Anyone would think Queen Elizabeth II was paying the country a visit…
Would it not have made more sense to wait until the building is actually standing and then mark it’s opening???
Anyway well done Madge!
