VIDEO: EMINEM ON THE ZANE LOWE SHOW (PERFORMANCE/INTERVIEW)

May 20, 2009 7 comments

Know this, Eminem’s latest album Relapsewill go on to become a smash hit worldwide because he’s Eminem…..

I have listened to a few tracks from the album and I wasn’t that impressed. It has to be said that Eminem was at his best during the Slim Shady era.

Anyway, watch Em perform 3AM, We Made You and Beautiful

Via London To MK

Radio 1 host Zane Lowe is so annoying. He thinks he is such a cool cat (just look at him).

Zane you just make me cringe!

And as for this gushing compliment towards the end of the interview,

“It’s good to see you man, I’ve never seen you look so good and so together about everything”.

Oh please Zane cut the BS.

Dizzee Rascal’s new single ‘Bonkers’ is expected to become the best-selling single of the year so far.

The track, which is a collaboration with dance DJ Armand Van Helden, shifted 46,000 units on its first day of release.

With continuing high sales, the song will easily overtake first week sales of previous number ones. Comic Relief charity single ‘Islands In The Stream’ shifted 87,000 in its first seven days, while Calvin Harris’s ‘I’m Not Alone’ sold 66,000 copies.

Tinchy Stryder and N-Dubz’s recent chart topper ‘Number One’ secured first week sales of 87,000, according to The Sun.

Well there’s no accounting for taste!

Congratulations Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee.

I admit it…I am impressed. Not with their music but with the success they have achieved so far.

CHILDREN OF MARTIN LUTHER KING IN BIOPIC DISPUTE

Yesterday I posted the news that Steven Spielberg had signed on to co-produce a Martin Luther King biopic, and that King’s estate had for the first time allowed producers to use his copyrighted intellectual property (his speeches, books etc).

Well it seems only one of King’s offspring gave Spielberg/Dreamworks permission for this to happen!

Via Rhymes With Snitch

On Tuesday Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Studios announced they had purchased the rights to make a film about Dr. Martin Luther King. The problem is Dexter King negotiated the deal without consulting his brother and sister, Martin III and Bernice King, who say they were notified of the sale by email at the same time Spielberg made his announcement. Says Bernice King, “We are taking action. We cannot reveal what it is at this time. Dexter King has entered into an agreement without approval of his shareholders.”

It sounds as if Dexter was hungry to make some change.

The Sun reports today that rapper/singer Estelle ‘came within moments of being involved in a terrifying shoot-out’, which left rapper Dolla (real name Roderick Anthony Burton II dead.

Estelle had apparently been at the mall where Burton was fatally shot on the 18th May just moments before and assured her friends and family via Twitter that she was safe.

She then went on to describe the carnage as “freakin’ nuts”.

………………………………………………………………………………………….

“freaking nuts”.. still drinking from the Marsha Ambrosius transatlantic twang cup I see.

You’re from North West London luv!

Anyway I am relieved to hear that Estelle is safe and well after ALMOST going through such a traumatic experience.

Rest In Peace Roderick Anthony Burton II

RAPPER SHOT DEAD, MAN CHARGED

DOLLA

I read about this terrible incident yesterday but didn’t get around to posting news on it until now.

Another tragic and senseless killing. When will it all end?

Via Billboard

Rapper Dolla, born Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot and killed while waiting in the valet area of the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles on Monday (May 18). He was 21.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the up-and-coming rapper, who signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik label in 2007, had flown to Los Angeles that very morning to continue work on his oft-delayed solo debut, “A Dolla And A Dream,” which had been slated for a summer release. He went to the Beverly Center to shop, his publicist Sue Vannasing told the newspaper. After the shooting, Burton was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center a few blocks from the mall, where he died, police said.

TMZ reports police arrested a man identified as 23-year-old Aubrey Berry at LAX after authorities issued an alert that the suspect may be headed for the airport. The airport police reportedly spotted a man who matched the description of the assailant sitting in the lobby of one of the terminals. When police approached him, Berry said he knew why they were there, raised his hands and told them he had a 9 MM gun in his waistband.

Berry has since been charged with murder and his bail has been set at $1 million.

It has been speculated that Berry and Dolla flew in on the same flight together and that they both argued on the plane over a woman.

We live in a wicked and cruel world, and I cannot believe that the idiot was planning on boarding a plane with a gun in his waistband.

Rest In Peace Roderick Anthony Burton II

UK NEWS: MAN AND 14 YEAR OLD BOY FOUND GUILTY OF SHOUTING HOMOPHOBIC CHANTS AT FOOTBALLER SOL CAMPBELL

The rumours surrounding Sol Campbell’s sexuality have been following him for YEARS!!!!  But regardless the behaviour displayed during the match was disgusting and he didn’t deserve to be subjected to that level of abuse.

Who Campbell chooses to get naked with behind closed doors has nothing to do with what he does on the football pitch.

Via Overground Online

A man and a 14-year-old boy have been banned from attending football matches for three years after they were found guilty of shouting, ‘come on gay boy, that’s my gay boy’ at Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell.

Prosecutors played video clips of Ian Trow, 42, and the boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – shouting homophobic chants at Campbell during a football match in September 2008. Continue Reading…..

I often wonder what triggered off the gay rumours in the first place, because they just keep sticking to him like glue.

From what I’ve seen over the years Sol seems to have a preference for wealthy caucasian women who are at least 10 years his senior.

I have yet to catch him in the arms of a man.

STEVEN SPIELBERG TO PRODUCE MARTIN LUTHER KING BIOPIC

Steven Spielberg has signed up to co-produce a Martin Luther King biopic for DreamWorks, according to Variety.

The civil rights leader, who was assassinated in 1968 at the age of 39, copyrighted his speeches, books and works. DreamWorks’s project marks the first time that Dr King’s estate have allowed producers to use his intellectual property, such as his famous 1963 ‘I Have A Dream’ speech.

“We are all honoured that the King estate is giving us the opportunity to tell the story of these defining, historic events,” said Spielberg. Continue Reading…

This is the first time that King’s estate has allowed producers to use his intellectual property…  well, when a project involves the great Steven Spielberg people always jump to say ‘yes’ and are always quick to sign on the dotted line.

Anyway with Spielberg involved chances are this will turn out to be a pretty impressive biopic.
