Singer Kelly Rowland has released a statement confirming her split from Columbia records and insists that it was her decision to leave the label.

She says,

“Because Columbia Records has been my home base as an artist for more than a decade, the decision to move out on my own required a lot of soul-searching.

As a solo artist, I felt the need to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone and my friends and family at Columbia have been incredibly understanding about my evolution.”

I really want to see Kelly win! Now more than ever!

Reggae singer Luciano has been charged with harbouring a fugitive who shot and wounded three police officers, Jamaican police have said.

Police Superintendent McArthur Sutherland said the 44-year-old – real name Jepther McClymont – was charged and released after posting bail.

The stand-off last week ended with the fugitive gunman, Andrew Senior, being  killed at Luciano’s home in Kingston.

Two of the injured officers are still being treated in hospital.

Oh dear….smh….

Jade Goody could be immortalised by a statue in Bermondsey, it has emerged.

A number of fans have written to council heads and urged them to commemorate the reality TV star, who  last week, The Mirror reports.

Community council chair Bob Skelly said: “The council has plans for the Dickens Estate area where Jade grew up, and I’m sure we could do something.”

Publicist Max Clifford said: “It’s wonderful news.”

It is thought that a statue or blue plaque could be installed to recognise the effort Goody made to raise awareness of cervical cancer.

Apparently they are also in the process of casting for her biopic.

I know her last album struggled to do as well as she hoped, but I never actually saw this coming….

Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland has reportedly been dropped by her record label, just months after firing her manager, father of her former bandmate, Beyonce Knowles.

 Things might seem bleek at the moment but I believe that this is the start of a new chapter for Kelly and a blessing in disguise. 

She spends most of her time in Europe now and under new management I believe that she will finally be able to thrive as an individual.

I wish her the best of luck. 

I would love to know what Kelly and Michelle really think of Beyonce and Matthew Knowles. I am sure that there is an uneasiness there.

Madonna was yesterday accused by the leading children’s charity of conducting a “puppy parade” over her plan to adopt a second child from Malawi.

The singer is due to arrive in the African country tomorrow in an attempt to adopt a four-year-old girl called Mercy James.

But Save The Children says orphans should be cared for by their extended family or community and that taking them abroad is “not a solution.”

Spokesman Dominic Nutt said: “What Madonna is doing verges on a puppy parade. People like her are looking for the most beautiful child. They wouldn’t choose a child with a disability or special needs.

“It doesn’t help to take one child out of an orphanage to a huge palace and buy them a pony. All these children who may only have one parent, or no parent, cannot be transported to Notting Hill by pop stars.

“Madonna’s heart may be in the right place, but other mothers will look up to her and she’s setting a terrible example.”

Yesterday Mercy’s grandmother and uncle, who had vowed to fight the adoption, were suddenly in the care of officials from Madonna’s charity Raising Malawi.

Mercy had been living with her grandmother and uncle, but was placed in an orphanage run by Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi.

The owner of the Kondanani Children’s Village orphanage yesterday denied Madonna bull-dozed Mercy’s relatives into approving the adoption.

Anne Chikhwaza said that after explaining that Madonna will not cut her ties to them, or Malawi, “they were more than happy to relent”. Continue Reading…..

When I first read about Mercy’s family and about how they opposed her adoption I thought, ‘well if you place a child in to an orphanage then there is a chance that somebody will come a long and want to adopt that child. So what did they expect?’ 

If Mercy had remained in the care of her grandmother and uncle then this wouldn’t be an issue now.

Anyway the family are said to be no longer opposing the adoption.

Hmmmmm I wonder what changed their minds?

A part of me feels Madonna has her heart in the right place and that she desperately wants to give these children a better start in life etc, but then suspicion rears it’s ugly head and I think, ‘does Madonna have an ulterior motive here?’

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Ciroc Vodka once again attempt to address those pesky discrimination claims.

Ciroc issued this official statement last night.

“CIROC Vodka has nothing whatsoever to do with this inappropriate and offensive casting call, which was done without the brand’s knowledge or consent.  We are currently investigating how this occurred.  CIROC Vodka has created a brand that defines sophisticated celebration for all consumers, and in no way condones this practice.”

While Diddy had this to say…

Singer Robbie Williams has said he is ready to rejoin Take That and is being welcomed back by his old bandmates.

He told The Mirror newspaper the reunion was “looking more likely by the week”, adding he is in “regular contact” with them.

The 35-year-old star quit Take That in 1995. The band split up a year later but reformed as a chart-topping foursome in 2006.

Williams’ management said there were no plans for him to rejoin the band.

The singer’s departure from the band was acrimonious and for many years he was not on speaking terms with Gary Barlow.

This is why it’s important to stay humble.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again! You got a nerve Robbie!

This lonely, self obsessed loser spent a decade bad mouthing his former band mates/laughing at their misfortunes, after he went on to enjoy massive solo success, selling millions of records all over the world.

(Although he did fail to break the US market and never got over it lol!!!)

In 2004 he finally fell flat on that smug little face of his when the highly anticipated album  Rude Box BRICKED, while his former Take That band mates reunited and went on to blow up all over again.

Since then Take That have sold millions of albums and their tours continue to sell out within minutes of tickets going on sale.

Robbie on the other hand is desperate for the attention and ”working on a new album” but the fans no longer care, hence the desperation to reunite with Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard.

I am now a Take That fan and I pray that they ban him from rejoining the fold.

They don’t need you Robbie, so why don’t you do us all a favour and sod off back to Beverly Hills/Rehab.

Damon ‘Bruk Pocket’ Dash has revealed to Billboard.com that blames his financial downfall on being overly generous.

Brukkers says,

 ”My mistake was watching everyone else’s careers and not watching mine. After being able to settle my wife’s company, I was able to start doing other things. My first approach was the music business and getting with Jim Jones… I spent the last six months doing research, trying to figure out how to use all my resources to blow this out (make his album a hit)”.

Right.. so the bad business investments post Roc-A-Fella Records/Roc-A-Wear, the frivolous spending and the flossin had nothing to do with his descent in to Bruksville???
