Zimbabwe’s opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been sworn in as prime minister in a unity government with President Robert Mugabe.

Mr Tsvangirai won the first round of last year’s presidential election – but he withdrew from the run-off citing violence against his supporters.

However he later agreed to share power with Mr Mugabe.

Problems facing the new government include a cholera epidemic, a collapsed economy and a 90% unemployment rate.

The country is in enough turmoil as it is, so I just hope and pray this arrangement works out for the best.

According to Bossip, “a highly placed source in the Chris Brown legal camp”, confirmed that singer Rihanna attacked their client first….

They were in the car leaving the Clive Davis party. While Chris was driving, he got a phone call from a young lady. Our source tells us that Rihanna knew that Chris had been messing around with this particular girl and she has, as of late, been the reason for many of their heated arguments. Rihanna got a glimpse of the phone, saw the name and number and immediately recognized who it was. She went ballistic and began to “beat the sh*t” out of Chris (while driving). She was so uncontrollable, that Chris began to fight back in self defense, which ensued the fight. Rihanna’s rage stemmed from Chris’ questionable fidelity in the last few months.

Oh dear… Oh dear…. 

But this is still only speculation. I want cold hard FACTS!!!!

Anyway Island/Def Jam pushed for this union to happen for publicity purposes and now its all blown up spectacularly in their faces.

Estelle and Kanye

The Metro newspaper reports that Rapper Kanye West thinks people simply see him as Estelle’ s sidekick after appearing on her smash hit record ‘American Boy’.

According to TMZ.com chewing gum giant Wrigley have decided to suspend their current advertising campaign featuring singer Chris Brown.

The decision comes after Brown’s alleged physical altercation with singer and girlfriend Rihanna in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Both are said to have sustained bite marks and brusing…..SMH….

Wrigley said in a statement, “We have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”

The company would not go as far as saying they are dropping him completely, saying Brown should be “afforded the same due process as any citizen.”

Tameka Foster, the wife of R&B star Usher, is in stable condition after complications during surgery in South America, a representative for the singer confirmed to Access Hollywood Monday.

“Tameka Foster is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil,” Usher’s rep said in a statement. “Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”

Dr. Gabriel Hunt, a neurosurgeon with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, arrived in Brazil Sunday.

Grammy Award winning rapper Lil’ Kim will be one of thirteen celebs showing off their moves when the eighth season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars (The US Version of the UK’s Celebirty Come Dancing) debuts next month.

This year’s cast was announced during a primetime event that found each participating celebrity revealed one at a time during ABC’s regular line-up Sunday night (February 8).

Kim, who is currently working on her fifth studio album, to be released later this year, was the first contestant revealed.

T.I, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and M.I.A performed ‘Swagger Like Us’ at last night’s Grammy Awards Ceremony.

A very pregnant and annoying M.I.A could have done with sitting this one out but all in all I guess the entire performance was…….. ok…….

Oh and for those of you who are interested British “SOUL SENSATIONS” Adele and Duffy both won Grammys last night.

I was up watching ‘The Grammys: Red Carpet’ on the E! Entertainment channel when it was announced that Chris was being investigated for allegedly assaulting an “unidentified” woman Sunday night, after a pre- Grammy Awards party.

Rumour has it that the “unidentified” woman in question is Chris’ girlfriend/ singer Rihanna.

Chris Brown is under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery, the LAPD confirms to PEOPLE.

“The identity of the victim will not be released,” said Officer April Harding. “Any victim who’s involved in a domestic violence incident is entitled to confidentiality.”

Officer Harding added: “If police locate Brown, yes, he’s subject to arrest.”

Both Brown, 19, and girlfriend Rihanna, 20, were scheduled to perform at the Grammys, but this statement was released Sunday evening: “We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us this evening.”

Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in L.A. when they became involved in an argument, according to a police statement. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance.
