In June of last year it was reported that mogul Russell “fact finder” Simmons, had agreed to pay his ex-wife Kimora Lee, $40,000 in child support for their two daughters Aoki and Ming.
For some reason the story resurfaced again today and has forced Simmons to respond to the rumours via his blog on GlobalGrind.com
He wrote….
I am reading these stories today about how a judge ordered me to pay Kimora $40,000 a month in child support and I want to make something very clear. Nothing was ordered, it was given. My kids have a fabulous life; they are exposed to a broad range of artistic and scholastic educational programs and I’m very happy to contribute to that. As long as I have it, they can have it. If I ever don’t have it, I’m coming to live with them!
Then Russell’s loyal Executive Assistant decided to leave a comment under Russell’s blog post.

This is Simone, Russell’s long time Executive Assistant. I typically do not comment on every story but this one that has been circulating today needs some clarification. Yes, it is stipulated that Russell’s girls have security while with Russell..they require security all the time to give their parents piece of mind. It is not singular to just time spent with their father. Comments on Perez and other sites have some really outlandish thoughts related to this and why security is required. Basically, its safety for the girls from strangers, not from their own family. Its really outrageous that anyone would imply anything different. As far as the 40k number, well, Russell wants his girls to have the best. Isn’t that what we all want for our children? He is happy to earn money to pay for them to live a fabulous life and that is really his and Kimora’s business.
Kimora and Russell maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their children and genuine love for each other. As far as any whispers about Djimon Hounsou and Russell’s feelings about him, there is no scandal there either. He thinks Djimon is a wonderful addition to the family and is grateful his girls have a great relationship with him.
I hope that in the future people don’t assume the worst when the truth may not be as interesting, but at least its good news. And the world needs more of that.

I want to thank both for breaking down this situation to the masses, and for putting a few things straight, because the rumours about Russell had been keeping me up at nights…..
Forget about the state of the economy, the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, the suffering and poverty that continues to blight parts of the world. No! It was the Simmons clan who consumed my every waking thought!
Now I just hope and pray that like myself, the WORLD can now breathe a collective sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that Russell is NOT being forced to hand over $40,000 in child support, and that he is able to expose his daughters to a broad range of artistic and scholastic educational programs. Unlike the common man……
It also warms my heart to know that Russell has a wonderful relationship with actor Djimon Hounsou.

His face contorted with rage, a thug kills an innocent shopper with a single blow after a trivial argument over queue jumping in Sainsbury’s.
A chilling sequence of startlingly clear CCTV images shows Tony Virasami – who was wearing an electronic tag at the time of the offence – mistakenly identifying Kevin Tripp and then striking him.
Mr Tripp, 57, a father of one who was in the store to buy organic apples, died after Virasami mistook him for another man who had insulted his heroin addict girlfriend.
The argument between Antonette Richardson and Adam Prendergast over who was next to be served was the sort of petty incident that takes place in supermarkets across the country.
But instead of walking away, Richardson vowed revenge and phoned 37-year- old Virasami to come to the supermarket and attack Mr Prendergast.
Virasami stormed in – one witness described him as ‘sweating’ and ‘looking for a fight’ – and demanded to know who was responsible.
Richardson, who at 37 was already a grandmother, can clearly be seen pointing out to Virasami the person whom she wants revenge exacted on.
Tragically, Mr Tripp – who weighed only nine stones and suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome – was standing near Mr Prendergast when Virasami.
Shouting ‘Don’t mess with my missus’, Virasami struck Mr Tripp. The ‘almighty’ force of what most witnesses described as an openhanded slap – one spoke of a ‘ haymaker’ – hurled him off his feet.
Virasami was told that he had attacked an innocent person. But, with Mr Tripp lying bleeding on the ground, that merely prompted Richardson to say to her boyfriend: ‘Yes, we need to find the right guy.’
She then pointed out 19-year-old Mr Prendergast at the Sainsbury’s Savacentre in Merton, South-West London.
This is the moment when Tony Virasami threw the punch which killed innocent Kevin Tripp. Antonette Richardson can be seen pointing at the man she had argued with.

An innocent man, out shopping, minding his own business was killed because Richardson and Virasami, a pair of drug addled petty scum bag thieves, were desperate for a fight. Looking to war in Sainsbury’s of all places!
Within seconds they left an innocent man fatally injured and a family totally destroyed because of a stupid argument over alleged queue jumping.
I hope that the low lifes waste away behind bars.
And I cannot even look at Virasami. A wasted thug with the added misfortune of being born without any brain cells. You are an embarassment!

Nelly has inked a deal to develop a reality television series with A. Smith & Co. Productions, it was announced Wednesday. The show will chronicle “the day-to-day life” of the rapper.
“I look forward to showing my fans what my world is about and bringing more attention to my non-profit organizations,” said Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes Jr., in a statement.
Nelly runs the non-profit organization 4 Sho 4 Kids. He has participated in campaigns for bone marrow registration in honor of his sister, Jackie Donahue, who died in March after a long battle with leukemia.
The program is expected to air sometime early next year. No further details were available.
The 30-year-old rapper appeared in the film The Longest Yard earlier this year. His hits have included Hot in Herre,My Place and Over and Over.He has won three Grammys.

Nelly’s popularity has waned considerably over the past 3 years and his last album Brass Knuckles ended up in bargain bins worldwide, a week after it’s release.
Then after years of dodging the question “are you and Ashanti dating?”, last year suddenly out of nowhere he decides to admit that they were in fact an item, clearly hoping to generate some much needed attention to both their careers.
But sadly this strategic move failed to ignite an ounce of interest. This “revelation” would have only been of interest back in 2003.
Anyway now Nelly has inked a deal to develop his own “reality” show. If he is honest with himself, this is all to raise his profile to what it once was.
Well I suppose when all else fails you might as well go down the tired and tested “reality” route.

Two child actors from the film Slumdog Millionaire will be moved from slums to new houses by Indian authorities.
Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail, who played young versions of two main characters, were discovered by casting agents in Mumbai’s Garib Nagar slum.
There was an outcry when it was found they were still living there after the success of the Oscar-winning film.
An official said the children had “brought laurels to the country” and deserved to be rewarded.
Local housing association chairman Amarjeet Singh Manhas added: “Since the children have made the nation proud, they must be given free houses.
“The chief minister of the state has approved this.”
The housing will come from a small allocation which local politicians are allowed to distribute as they see fit.
Rubina, nine, is currently living with her family in a one room shack while 10-year-old Azharuddin’s family home, located under a tarpaulin by a busy road, was recently demolished.
I am happy for the children and their families, but what about the thousands of other children currently living in the slums of Mumbai?
Will they now have to become fortunate enough to have appeared in an Oscar winning film, to then be awarded a free house for them and their families???
