Its been reported that R&B singer Ne-Yo has been arrested for driving recklessly and driving without a valid licence in Atlanta Georgia.
(huge sigh) Now placid R&B artists are being arrested…

Westwood is Hip Hop’s very own Peter Pan who refuses to grow old gracefully.
Admittedly I have always liked his radio shows though. This goes back to when he used to host his own show on Capital Radio way back in the mid-late 80s.

B.E.T UK (BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELVISION UK) TO LAUNCH NEXT WEEK
One of my first post’s on Mad News was about BET UK, asking whether or not it would ever see the light of day here in the UK, as promised.
MTV Base now airs BET Shows, the DATED Lil Kim Countdown To Lock Down and the dreadful ‘DMX – Soul Of A Man’, along with College Hill (I never watch that….).
So what was the deal?
Well anyway now I have my answer….
‘IM A GANGSTA NIGGA’
On my way home from work yesterday evening I sat on a packed but silent train reading the March issue of XXL Magazine (Nas is on the front cover).
I sat there engrossed in the magazine when the silence was broken by a mobile phone’s loud ringtone…. a ringtone that left me cringing in my seat and burying my head further in to the pages of the magazine.
All that could be heard was Jay-Z’s voice BOOMING from the phone rapping the line “I’M A GANGSTA NIGGA, I’M A GANGSTA NIGGA” continuously!!!!
I refused to look at the city slickers (male and female) that were sitting around me, kept my head down and just prayed for the ground to open up and swallow me whole and for Jay’s voice to stop.
Eventually the idiot owner of the phone, who was standing by the doors, answered the call and his voice was even louder than the ringtone’s volume. I swear I just wanted to kick him in his mouth and smash his phone to pieces.
Then it got worse because his phone seemed to keep losing its signal and the caller kept calling back. So the whole carriage heard “I’M A GANGSTA NIGGA, I’M A GANGSTA NIGGA” at least six more times.
I breathed heavy a sigh of relief when I finally reached my stop. But before getting off the train I looked the idiot dead in his face.
The man was as you would expect, black and clearly over 45!
Old enough to know better…..
I shook my head all the way home.
