An adviser to mayor Ken Livingstone has resigned after lying about taking a free luxury weekend in Africa.
Rosemary Emodi, deputy to the mayor’s chief race adviser Lee Jasper, last week denied visiting a £200-a-night resort in Nigeria last November.
But when the BBC confronted her on Tuesday with evidence she flew there with airline Virgin Nigeria, Ms Emodi immediately tendered her resignation….Continue Reading

BREAKING NEWS EVERYONE!!!! LIL WAYNE ARRESTED …..AGAIN!!!
Rapper Lil’ Wayne was arrested near Yuma, Arizona by law enforcement officials and members of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) last night (January 22). While details are sketchy, it reported that the rapper is in the custody of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Department, where he will be arraigned on felony charges of possessing dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. The rapper is scheduled to appear in court today (January 23). (rolling eyes…) In all seriousness though this is just messed up. I’m tired of reading about these rappers being arrested and charged for madness. I’m tired of seeing careers being put on hold, over shadowed by looming court cases and possible prison sentences. Its depressing! Just depressing!
Anyway in regards to this latest incident I will reserve judgement for now…
DEF JAM SUED FOR $20 MILLION DOLLARS OVER SINGER CHRISETTE MICHELE
Douglas “Biggs” Ellison has filed a $20 million dollar lawsuit against Island Def Jam, claiming the label attempted to steal R&B artist Chrisette Michele from his Queens-based production company, Four Kings Productions Inc. Ellison filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming that Island Def Jam Music Group, Shalik Berry (A&R) and Michele’s parents Lynette and Lemuel Payne engaged in unlawful business practices in an attempt to get the Grammy nominated singer out of her exclusive contracts with Four Kings. “As soon as the artist’s mother saw that Chrisette was receiving money, all a direct result of the efforts of the production company under its contracts with the artist, Lynette Payne quit her job as a teacher and, in willful disregard of the artist’s contractual obligations to Four Kings, usurped management functions regarding her daughter’s newly found success, in an effort to keep the money in the family,” Ellison claims in the lawsuit. Def Jam did nothing with Chrisette. I mean one minute she was billed as being the next big singing sensation, then all went silent after her album dropped.
IS DEF JAM ABOUT TO DROP NAS?
According to insiders, Def Jam bigwigs have given rapper Nas an ultimatium. Change the name of your new album or find a new label home!
Nas is currently refusing to change the name of his upcoming album, ‘Nigger’, and label heads are furious.
A label source says,
“There is no way that we can put out an album with that title. Many retailers have already told us – flat out – that they won’t carry an album with that title. If Nas doesn’t change his mind, he’ll be dropped. And he doesn’t have too much time to come to that realization.”
ACTOR HEATH LEDGER FOUND DEAD
Hollywood actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at his home in Manhattan.“He was found unconscious at the apartment and pronounced dead,” the New York Police Department said, adding that pills were found near the body….Continue Reading
Ledger also starred in A Knight’s Tale, The Patriot, and played a suicidal son in Monster’s Ball. He will also star in the soon to be released new Batman film, where he plays The Joker.
